Ford Sierra Cosworth VS Volvo 850 T-5

mmmmmm, the sierra cosworth is a born sports car, the volvo is a wolf in sheeps clothing, normal family car. volvo all the way for me!!!!

It doesnt matter about standard against standard..or tuned...the Cosworth Pinto lump especially with the 200 block is a hard car to beat.....period.....just look at the videos on here!

I would agree on that.Owned both these cars and they are both very fast,the T5 being very under rated,considered a grandad car lol.

Youth better watch out if they bump in to me in my T5 lol,even if there youth with a decent car like a Evo or some thing.

Problem with the T5 is,insurance and there old,hard to find a good 850 T5 with low miles.

a standard siera wouldnt stand a chance against a standard volvo 850 t5r. if they was both tuned the volvo would kill it anyway

A standard Sierra doesn't have a Turbo...........A "Standard" Cosworth Sierra DOES!! I know, I have one!! And as for tuning, to what level? By the way they are BOTH Fords anyhow!! LOL.

Your sort of right but The T5s engine is a volvo engine and ford have now borrowed it for the focus st but volvo seen to it that the ford version wouldnt be faster then theres.The 850/v70 is the last of what I would call a volvo,the shape has changed too much now.Long live my 850 T5.

Dunno about the both tuned but there not far off on the standard side,the cossy uses the real Garret Turbo where the T5 uses a Good but copied version,weight is the biggest killer with the t5.Some TDI's now a days are very quick too.for a 15 year old car,both of them,there pretty hard to beat,the cossys sell for silly money though but the T5 is cheapp enough(they wernt so easy to rob) but insurance is still Hi on them

Your on the (Its a Granda car scenerio) I like that cuz youl get some old boy or young,run you off the rd ;-) drive one before you make such a statement as I'm pretty sure you wouldnt of write that if you had drive a t5,dont have to be a t5r just a t5 would change your mind,trust me.

The Sierra was a tuned street racer. The Volvo was a Volvo 850 R Wagon. If they were both tuned, with the same turbos, etc etc, they would have been neck to neck from the beginning. both great cars, I personally love the Volvo, but that's because I own a 1996 Volvo 850 GLT that's in tuning. But, I have room to bend for other cars. Have respect for fellow street racers. You share the street with them, they have potential just like you. (:
