@wdowa94 Maybe you should read some physics, mate? Torque and power are linearly related to each other. Power is the scalar product of the torque and the angular velocity of the rotational motion. In other words, power is a result of torque. So no, you can't have a machine with monster torque and no horsepower (unless it turns extremely slowly!)

And why I get he had every right to make more money with his book I think the right thing would have been to leave the show first and than write it like how the Black Stig did.

@stevierobb09 not necessarily, i'm the biggest top gear fan but if you REALLY think about it, ben collins leaving top gear was a good move for his career. Even though he was the stig, no1 knew his name and he could have been technically replaced in a heart beat by the bbc and no1 would have known the wiser.

Street car means anything that can legally be driven on the street, it is not talking about ANY car brands, just a car that can be driven on the street.

You are correct that in a dragster body (same as the one in the video only a little bigger BTW) they make 4 second passes all day long, 0-60 in 0.5 seconds.
The two shows may be competition for each other but they are a bit different. Top Gear is more about entertaining an audience rather than serious auto journalism. There hosts are quite opinionated (specifically Clarkson). You watch this show more for a laugh. Fifth gear tends to have better reviews of the cars and a bit more serious. However lately they seem to be trying to copy top gear a bit with various antics (e.g. drifting competition as part of car reviews).
"Trapped in a Strom Trooper's outfit" .. err who is this guy kidding, himself? "The Stig" was soo popular, kids and adults loved him. I know there's been talk that he was paid less than Hammon, May and Clarkson, but c'mon, he IS NOT poor!! Amazingly, this dragster has only 10% of the horsepower that a Top-Fuel dragster does. Zero to 100mph in 0.7 seconds. G-force on launch is about 5.7g. They do teh quarter-mile so quickly that the crankshaft only gets to rotate roughly 650 times before crossing the line. Un-frickin'-believable.

Even though he was the stig, no1 knew his name and he could have been technically replaced in a heart beat by the bbc and no1 would have known the wiser.

GMC makes trucks FYI, Cars are made by Ford, chevy and Chrysler but really GMC is just a re badged Chevy anyways.
Street car means anything that can legally be driven on the street, it is not talking about ANY car brands, just a car that can be driven on the street.

@TheGator2000 That makes no sense, what has a small engine? The engine in the video is an American V8, just like all the ones in the video i listed below, only we are going 2-3 seconds faster in a street legal car.
You are correct that in a dragster body (same as the one in the video only a little bigger BTW) they make 4 second passes all day long, 0-60 in 0.5 seconds.

The two shows may be competition for each other but they are a bit different. Top Gear is more about entertaining an audience rather than serious auto journalism. There hosts are quite opinionated (specifically Clarkson). You watch this show more for a laugh. Fifth gear tends to have better reviews of the cars and a bit more serious. However lately they seem to be trying to copy top gear a bit with various antics (e.g. drifting competition as part of car reviews).

@1300l I just saw a Top Gear episode where they said they had Tiff give the star in a reasonably priced car driving lessons. So I guess for now Tiff's helping it them out. Now I see why the guys at Top Gear are taking target practice shots at The Stig from 3 nice cars. I had no idea he went over to 5th gear. To be able to be famous doing what you love and still be able to buy a pack of smokes without anyone knowing who you are would be great. Ben had it made as The Stig.

@Guy9998 I watch that episode too, Tiff aways help The new format of Top Gear even after he left for fifth gear (cos he thot top gear would be canceled for good). And tiff is a amazig driver and a beter teacher then colin.
I find so sad that Colin is now doing bad references for top gear every time he have the chance, and forgot that Stig was famous not him. I dont get the big deal for him to publish that book, still its sad he could just move on.

Amazingly, this dragster has only 10% of the horsepower that a Top-Fuel dragster does. Zero to 100mph in 0.7 seconds. G-force on launch is about 5.7g. They do teh quarter-mile so quickly that the crankshaft only gets to rotate roughly 650 times before crossing the line. Un-frickin'-believable.
