  • i just bought all 3 tourists lps and i still keep forgetting to buy 'garden' cds.

  • The opening of this always reminds me of I'll Feel A Whole Lot Better by the Byrds.

Not a cut mind you, everyone from Tom Petty to Dwight Twilley, to Nick Lowe, to REM to The Flamin' Groovies were getting re-acquainted with the twang at the time. Rickenbacker guitars were everywhere.

This cut reminds me of that sweet little moment when a new music was happening that hadn't been split by labels of "Punk", or "New Wave". Everyone went to, or played at, the same clubs. Punk didn't mean "Jerk" yet.

  • Ahh! Vintage Annie Lennox - long before she crossed into Mariah Carey & Enya territory.

  • this shit freaked me out.

  • I'd never heard this before----im quite ashamed as Im a right 80's buff!!!! I will be lookin for more of the tourists...thought they only had 1 hit and that was a cover-oh how wrong I was.....This is FANTASTIC!!!

  • Pure new wave mod ! It is to me anyway. It's one of the many tear jerkers to the soundtrack of my life !! Classic !!!! GBPFH

  • these songs are classic and always will be....r.i.p.. peet coombes singer with annie on this video

  • so hot, so tight! wonderful!

  • Great song, God bless Annie!

  • @ChrisBMarton Yeh! Fantasic song! God bless Peet! Great songwriter!

  • The Tourists were much dirided as New Wave wannabes by the then music press. Their poppy cover of a Dusty Springfield hit contributed to this. The 1981 debut album by the Eurythmics, In the Garden, has strong Tourist influences on many tracks, especially Belinda and Your Time Will Come

  • me encanta que subais videos super antiguos :-)

  • why wasn't this is a hit? this is a lost classic.

  • The Tourists tended to be derided by the the music press of the time as New Wave wannabes..ridiculous I know. Their poppy cover of Dusty Springfield's I Only Wanna be with You contributed to this. The Eurythmic's debut album In the Garden has strong Tourist influences on some tracks

  • It's a lost classic alright, got relatively famous. It was played now and then.
