The main character actor from "The King's Speech" was speaking slow and the guy from Social Network was talking dang fast, it depends if the character's suppose to talk fast or slow. Sometimes the character is suppose to act nervous too.

i don't think this applies to Scottish people, when i speak to foreigners i need to speak really posh and slow and they still struggle to understand me, and i'm considered "posh" where i'm from.

No shit tell me something I don't know. Getting flustered is something that can happen if your a complete idiot! lol but keeping it under control is not that hard. I find that soaking in a nice warm bath before any performance is key. Just let your muscles relax and your voice will be solid. :)

I highly recommend every actor gets a copy of her book.

Speak at your normal speed -- maybe. For many of us that's already too fast. Slow it down enough so the audience can understand each sentence, and watch for places where a beat would make it more meaningful.

Work with your body-language instead! It will look much more realistic!
