This video was very helpful for me. I inherited my Granny's Elna SU air almost 16 years ago... and have never mastered it. I haven't known until now what the 'little thing that pops the bobbin out' was until watching your video.
We've had one of these machines since 1979 and it is still going strong! Superior construction and easy to maintain. My wife has made draperies, bedspreads, quilts, and much more. This machine has not gone obsolete like so many electronic-based machines, because it is mostly mechanical. The only electronic component is the motor speed control which senses the floor pedal compressing an air bladder for variable speed. Terrific machine.

How do you get the machine to pick up the bobbin thread with the needle to get it ready to stitch???
