@julienmauricemort There were no sensors in this car wash. It was run manually. My advanced models use sensors and Micro controllers but I have yet to post any videos of the advanced car washes.
Neecadet, you've come a long way! I've always wanted to build something like this. I just haven't had the time, or energy to get it going. Nice, nice work my friend!
@danlc95 Long time no see. I appreciate that. I am in the process of upgrading the brushes and changing the scale of all the car washes. Once that's finished, I will be posting more videos. Thanks
Honestly, you need to market and sell these. My 6-year-old is obsessed with car washes and he has been watching your videos. He thinks I can just go out and purchase one because he's seen it on YouTube. Now he wants one for Christmas and expects me to find one!!! There is nothing on the toy market even close and I don't have the technical know-how to build it myself...although I would try if instructions were available. You did a great job. Very realistic.
@marcyebrown Thanks alot. To be honest, I build models and sell them if requested. I am in the process of upgrading all the car washes and because of the fact that I am changing brush materials, I haven't been able to get the new videos up. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks
@forsmers1 The cost to build them depends on the equipment and supplies used to build them. It cost me anywhere from 100.00 to 250.00 dollars to get materials and build them. This particular car wash has been scraped just for reasons of being replaced by upgraded models.
@newcadet Cool. The equipment has nice rhythm. The side washers seem to have a good motion, and so does the drying process, but one suggestion for improvement, if you could allow the mitter to move to a greater extent, that would look quite good. Did you use any half-moon mechanism for the mitter or what?
@ReventonF22 As for the mitter curtain, it was not hooked up to the regular motor that controls it because of the proximity to the top brush assembly so it was connected to a back up pulley rod which didn't have much spac to move back and forth.
@newcadet Ahh, ok. You might be able to solve that if you're willing to extend the wash tunnel a bit, but its up to you. Again, nicely done. Keep up the good work!
How do you automaticly move the brushes? Is there an laser sensor in the front?

Nice work. The mitter looks quite good; what material did you use for the brushes?
ReventonF22 6 months ago
@ReventonF22 Thanks. I used rain ponchos to make the material for the brushes.

@ReventonF22 I appreciate it. All equipment has been upgraded so that I am able to fit the mitter curtain assembly in a much smaller space.

In mine, i'm going to try to use electric current raise sensors to move the brushes in an out
julienmauricemort 7 months ago
@julienmauricemort If you ar able to, I would like to see your car wash.
newcadet 7 months ago
@newcadet or maybe i should use an "eye" sensor at the beggining to see how long the car is or use speed sensors

I think you have a problem with one of your brushes because while the others are still spinning one of them randomly deactivates, what happened to it
