All in all I like your cover.

But: you seem to be experienced in playin the guitar, why don't start with slight picking just like blunt does? gives you the opportunity to raise the tension throughout the song by adding more and more stringenergy as well as to bring out the main points. At least that's what I think.

And maybe your voice wouldn't be so tortured if you put the capo a fret below :P
