  • Back to the kitchen...

  • NO man in this video is disrespectful towards her. Nicola, you're delusional.

  • hermione granger I love you you explained human mind

  • So interesting to observe the facial expressions in the men around her. I see lust, which they suppress, I see envy, which they suppress as well, I see a conflict between the lust and the envy, I see insecurity because of their belief that women should be less intelligent than them and it's not the case in reality, which makes them want to deny within themselves that she is more intelligent than them, which she is. Then lust is also utilized in order to help deny the facts within themselves.

  • @NicolaRedwooddforest I see paranoid schizophrenia.

  • @Kaine667 In who? In the men at the discussion? Or in me? The men look normal to me or whatever the norm is. I personally am not normal or whatever the norm is, that is why I see things more clearly. Paranoid? Sometimes. Schizophrenia? No. Lots of reasons to be paranoid in this world of greed. That is why I read books by Rodney Smith, they help me relax and breathe.

  • @NicolaRedwooddforest The point is that she is a very respected woman in her field. To think that those men, very intelligent men, are looking at down at her because she is a woman is disrespectful to everyone in that room. You might want to step back and think about this one.

  • @Kaine667 I never disputed the intelligence of those scientists. I love scientists. But they are all human. Humans have emotions, which they usually hide. So I am assuming that those men have certain emotions. I am not being disrespectful at all. I just comment and share my ideas and thoughts. I never assumed they are looking down at her. Why does my comment bother you so much? You must be a man.

  • @NicolaRedwooddforest You are as superficially judgemental as a teenager. If you had the experience and intelligence to do so, you would know that you cannot judge the relative intelligence of intelligent people form a 5 minute video clip. You are projecting all your beliefs and preconceived frustrations but the fact is you don't know what they are thinking.

  • @schpitt Let me guess, you are a man! Right? You are a man taking offense to what I said under this video. However you would be right in what you said if I had said with determination that what I see in the men in the video is 100 percent factual. But I never did. How do I know what they exactly thought? I don't. And I never claimed I did.

  • @hesellsmystuff That is a good question I guess all I can think is that when you use an item you have a general idea of what it is used for. The example she used of the comb is a personal item and isn't necessarily used on others. Other factors may come into play such as maybe having a fear of the item or other emotions tied in with the objects. Maybe they should test this out because I to would want to know what would happen though not with real bullets lol.

  • I wonder if this idea of infinite considerations for possible actions would apply to thoughts. If so, do those using psychotropic drugs or those suffering mental illness utilize more pathways than is usual?

  • Omg i just love the title of this video...

  • @jajazpfile: It's like the brain's a sieve for terrible ideas, only the least terrible passes through to be acted upon, eh?

  • In this same talk they explain that consciousness is actually created like a movie, stills shots of every moment that are all run together to simulate movement.

  • Now I just enjoy all these weird sensations.

  • I always thought people didn't have feeling in their brains, but recently when I feel mood changes from myself or other people, I actually feel sensations traveling across my brain. It's a little distracting but I'm getting use to it. Sometimes if my emotions are really negative when I'm going to sleep I actually feel like I've been hit in my eyes. I'm learning to block that feeling. I use to worry about being crazy, now I don't care, I know that I've always tried to be a good person.

  • ..."but recently when I feel mood changes from myself or other people..." What are you talking about? Do you feel other peoples mood changes? That is what you have written.

  • Well yes, I can feel it, now I kind of feel weird for posting the comment, I'm not trying to say I've got any supernatural powers or nothing, but try it yourself, are you good at observing people, even when they try to mask emotions it's noticable. But what I was trying to get at is, say if you hear something really inspirational, you may get tingles that rush over your skin, I've been getting them it feels like it rushes over my brain. Good feeling seem to start from the front left part of my

  • brain and wash over my whole brain, it feels great. Negative emotions seem to start from the bottom back side of my brain and it feels like it squeezes up to the top, this feels bad. Who know's, may be it's blood vessels constricting and stuff, or may be I'm COO-COO, either way it's interesting and helpful sometimes.

  • @SleepingGiantsSister as good as it might feel, you still may want to contact a Dr. You may be having mild seizures (not the shakey, crap yourself kind). Such feelings could correspond to a variety of different conditions, or you may be just fine, but you should contact a dr. Get scanned

  • she looks so young to be that smart.

I guess I dont have that filter on on my mouth or my goals and apirations....it explains a lot hahahaha

  • neat!

  • Wow!

  • So she's saying we repress our would be action?

  • Yes. We calculate every possible idea our brains are capable of doing and then suppressing the ones that don't make sense or shouldn't be done.

  • @Radjehuty Yes, but I do believe that we don't always think about all possible actions we could take either the mean ones nor the productive ones. But some people with mental illness, myself included, have horrible thoughts of actions sometimes even though they would never actually take those actions in reality, it's more like a thought intrusion, I have seen a guy on the OCD Project on TV who was talking about it. I have that, too, sometimes. It's very bad and depressing to have.
