  • The G-1 is a single-element lens, while the standard lenses are 3-element. That means there are fewer glass surfaces for the beam to pass through, with lower power loss. Using a G-1 lens will result in about a 15% increase in output power with a 445nm laser. However, the beam divergence of a laser using a G-1 lens is higher than when using a 3-element lens.

  • What does the G-1 lens do exactly? I haven't found too much information about its advantages.

  • The highest I've ever measured so far from one of these diodes is a little over 2.4W with a 405-G-1 lens.

  • Now that's power!
