Wow finally someone who gets Bonham right. 99% of the people I see attempt to play his tracks are unable to emulate the ghost notes on the snare and the bass drum dynamics. You also have the drums tuned almost perfectly to match. Nailed it! Excellent job
I never understood how that hi hat sound was achieved until I recently got some 15 sound-edge 2002's. Gosh they make that nearly doubled sound because of the slightly extra rocking motion when played. Doesn't seem to happen too well with 14 hats.
Im glad to see theres someone else just as obsessed with bonham as i am.Hes the greatest. hands down. I idolize his playing so much and i try to always play to where people can tell i have a heavy bonham influence. Its always a chalenge learning his grooves and fills and just his whole style. I have the mans symbol tattooed on my shoulder for gods sake! Im glad to see im not the only one idolizing his playing. its people like u and me that keep bonzos style alive. great videos. great drumming.
hey man, great freaking job! Best on youtube. Do you have a video describing the snare rolls you start at 4:12? I love them but they're a bit weird to figure out. Does he use LRLRLRL or RLRLRLR? I think its an eighth or sixteenth note feel, but any help would be rad!
hey, i love the vid, by the way bub, how d u like the remo sound control toms? i'm thinking about getting a new set of heads and i've been looking at these. genres that i'll play include classic rock, blues, punk, progressive, and maybe country. Just some of ur thoughts would b excellent.
hey! (on my sisters account) but i just haddd to say, thank you soooo sooo much for this lesson! its gonna help me out alotttt cuz im learning this on drums to play with one of the bands im in ^_^ loll couldn't figure it out!

First off. enjoy your videos and sense of humor.I saw Led zeppelin on Long
island in 1972 at Nassau Coliseum.from what i can remember it was great.
Ive been drumming for many years and John Bonham will always be # 1 on my list.

I think one of the hardest thing to teach young drummers is the ghost note.
Its all thru his playing. It rolls things along.
i saw john bonham live and he used it all night.

@nigollllll It would have been sweet to see a Zep show in person. Where did you see them?
