Mike is badly missed in Dream Theater today. Just look at this guys.... I mean.... Wow.... His energy and the way he recorded every moment in DT history and recording sessions.... Just his whole dedication is epic. I am a guitar player and a huge Petrucci fan.... Love the whole band but man Mike Portnoy is Mike Portnoy.... This is one of the many proofs how much has changed since he is no more in the band. Today we have no coverage of the recording process.... Good luck to both sides still....

Mike was in to Alcohol and all for some years but has been sober for the past 13 years. Plus John doesn't even drink and none of the other guys do. They have clearly said it. They are against all that.... Plus that's one of the secrets to being creative. Drugging and boozing just screws you up eventually.... Look at the Beatles perfect example of creative dudes that got wasted cause of drugs

@immortalsoloist DT clean? Mike Portnoy was addicted to alcohol. He wrote several songs about his alcoholism. Since alcohol is a drug too, they have not been clean. And actually, if he wasnt addicted, he would not have been able to write those awesome pieces.
