  • haha good with the stock wheels

  • Dope

  • i will give u 4 pennies and a crack rock for that vehicle

  • sweet, I just bought an 87 cressida. After a good body work job and paint job, this is what I am gonna swap:)

  • Nice sleeper. I love sleepers. I play an online drag racing game Nitto 1320 Legends and there is nothing like a sleeper on oem wheels/tires that smokes a lot of rice.

  • Sweet sound x:) liking it much.

  • this really brightened up the day.. thanks guys..

  • Hahahahahaha that has got to be the hardest thing I have ever seen

  • Nice work brother !!

    Cheers from Toronto

  • ILL GIVE U 26,000 RIGHT NOW!!!!!!. SUPER SERIOUS

  • @TANKRAW14 ...26000 what? I'm in Australia by the way ...we speak in dollars :)

  • dude that tow hitch makes it even more incognito

  • Hey Man Nice Conversion! Iv Got A 85 Toyota Mark 2 GX71 and Im considering An Engine Conversion, the 1UZ-FE Made My Top 3 Engines Up There With The 1JZ-GTE And 2JZ-GTE. I Cant Decide What To Go With. Waz The 1UZ Worth It and Waz It That difficult?

  • Just a couple of quick questions, which gearbox did you go with for the conversion? and who did the mounts. Thanks!

  • @1GMattNZ KCF Rallysport did all the fabrication in house. I just went with the standard auto that came with the engine.

  • @Gareththedrummer hey dude iv got a 85 toyota mark 2 grande gx71 running a 1ggeu and i am considering a 1uz wat diff did u use and was it a complicated conversion?

  • ثمان سلندر هههههههههههههههههه

  • Nice looking Cressi, sounds awesome too!! I see your have a Triumph in the garage... i also have one... MK2 PI. It has an "s" engine with the PI injection fitted, new fuel metering unit, electronic ignition and TR5 cam.... I have future plans for a twin exhaust system also.... :-D Any mods to yours??

  • really cool ... i like the sound of it ... and the looks too ... but i wish it was a 89 model ... not becouse i hate this body its really good ... but i prefer the 89 ...

  • Fantastic

  • Commom question, why is this for sale / in all honesty, is there any current mechanical issues with the car ?

  • @TylerTron21 I want to sell it because I prefer to drive my old Triumph, I'm not interested in fast hi-tech cars anymore! Mechanically, it needs it's 160 000 service: Water pump and cam belt replacement, power steering pump needs new seals.

  • Only thing that gives it away is the V8 badge on the grille. Good job on the swap, I hope it went to a good home if you sold it.

  • @Blackinterceptor999 Thanks, the badge was to give it that factory look and for a reverse psychology effect! I'll be putting the ad up on eBay soon.

  • My wife wants a 90 or 91 Cressie or an All-Trac Camry, I have her convinced that front wheel drive is the root of all evil..lol Those older Toyota's are excellent cars that will run forever with basic maintenance:)

  • 1UZ!!!

  • Nice swap ... for those that don't realize, that 1UZ puts down 100+ more HP than the stock motor that came in that car ...

The cost of the 1UZ is about 1/3rd that of a 1JZ so ... Did you also swap in a LSD?

  • Right on.

No LSD, that's for the next owner to put in :)

  • Comment removed

  • Gorgeous! The 1UZ engine note suits the car a bit better than the 5M one :P

  • dude fuckin badass cressida... too bad they dont have v8's in the us spec cressida's

  • WTF ?? No Cressy anywhere on the planet has a v8 that it standard you vegetable.

  • so its a swap?

  • Id rather my 1UZ than yours =)

  • lol 1uz's are really nice engines

i like 2jz's but i guess its cause im a supra fanboy o_O lol i wanna put a 1uz in an mk3 and supercharge it call it the japanese corvette ^_^ or the poorman's corvette lol

  • nice japanese volvo. the 6 usually at home in a supra. but the v8 defintely looks like its supposed to b there.

  • Well Done Guys

  • Very nicely done! I doubt by '86 will ever sound so sweet :-P

  • sounds well sweet!

  • this thing is heavy AZZ FUGGg....

    hahaha fuggin dope tho

  • sick dude, awesome motor in awesome car. much modifications required for this swap? did ya chuck an LSD in it?

  • Thanks, yeah it's a good match of engine and car. Mainly exhaust mods and getting all the wires to work. Waiting for the old diff to break first before I do the LSD thing.

  • nice but its not a sleeper if u slap a v8 bage on the grille...but samn its relly quiet for a 1uz.....at idle haha

  • FOR SALE!

  • U shulda put a 1J in her. IMHO

  • wat motor?

  • Doesn't all the extra weight make the front end ill handling?

  • Nup, it's an all alloy V8 so it's about the same weight as the old 6. It's got really good grip on the front and not much body roll, just the Toyota steering is a bit dull.

  • Manual Trans??? First shift sounded automatic, but the other ones didn't... i'm confused

  • Yeah it's auto but the second one when I'm coming back down the street is when I had in 2 and tapped the gas pedal... so it wasn't really a shift coz I didn't have it in Drive.

  • that would explain!! was the 1G engine before??

  • Nup, 5M GE

  • the sound is unbelievable . . . . COOL

  • big time zzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

  • That badge that you zoom in on.. Where can i get one.. is it part of the grill?? I want one soo badly to put on my 180sx... Please help me out if u can...!!

  • Would have been cooler (but still fairly sleeper) with some Supra sawtooths.

  • I am getting a video camera soon so I will post more videos

  • good job it almost looks factory fitted

  • Thanks, that was the plan, to make it look factory... so not really a pure sleeper, more of... the car that Toyota didn't have the guts to make!

  • OOOOOOOOH YEAH ! awesome sleeper !!! Congrats !

  • need to open that exhaust up a bit, leave a single straight thru one in there

  • That car sounds awesome

  • Thats sweet! You need to post more video of that sweet Japanese V8 noise!

  • Awesome sound!!!!!!

  • Love that paint....... I wish I could have another x73 like that!

  • 1UZ-FE. arent those the v8 flagship engine of the LAND CRUISER?

  • aren't you the ambassador of the ignorant?

  • Those are 2UZ with cast iron block. This is the one from LS400.

  • sick ass sound man

  • no burnouts, im upset

  • sorry

  • Well done, nice car. Looks and sounds great!

  • Thanks!

  • NICE SOUND! I want to delete the resonators on my '95 SC400's V8.

  • I'd go for a 2.5" system, mines only 2".

  • so whats this cressida running?

any problems with the motor mounts?

  • Engine mounts were custom made so no problems, it lines up with the original rubbers and crossmember freakishly well.

  • whats my LS400 engine doin' in there? haha AWESOME!

  • dam din know there was a toyota car wit a v8... now it makes me wanna critisize toyota for not stickin a v8 in the supra's. but thats good shit. is there a place where i can get one like urs? not into the look but i love the way it sound.

  • You could try ebay! If you want one, you'll have to make your own. Many people have put these V8's into Supras as well.

  • omfg. soo nice. my dream car

  • nice add-on onto the grill.

  • That's the actual factory badge from the Toyota Crown.

  • fantastic work mate, 5 stars all the way

  • Thanks

  • I want to see more, I too have a Cress and it needs an engine in a bad way. I need to know more about the swap! Do you have any 1/4 mile times?

  • looks good mate done well fitting all that in there

  • Thanks. I basically wanted it just as the factory would've done it, so I can say... "Yes officer, they did come out with this engine!"

  • Realllly cool! I love the sound of the engine and exhaust. And the subtle V8 badge on the front grille.

  • Definately a sleeper. I bet you surprise a few people in that. Ever been matched up against a V8 soarer?

  • People are surprised and confused! I see them scratching their heads in disbelief. It's at least 150kg lighter than the soarer so i'd think it'd be faster.

  • NICE!!!!

  • You definately need to expand the size of your muffler/exhaust. It sounds like the engine's power is being choked.

  • You're probably right. It has a twin 2 inch system all the way from engine to rear muffler plus an H pipe. I had to fit two resonaters for legal reasons (too loud!?).

  • dude i would like to know more about how it was fitted

  • Custom engine mounts, manifold mods to clear steering and lots of wiring!

  • are you in aus? if so id like to talk turkey about getting some bits and peices

  • Yep, send me a message
