The guy was saying that sure the vette is fast as hell out of the box but doesn't have the luxury/room/4 doors/auto trans like the E55 AMG does. Driving a vette as a DD can be a PITA. Ask me how I know. It is a huge achievement to keep up and sometimes beat a mildly modded Z06 with a +4000lbs luxury sedan. You couldn't be more right on the cost to mod factor but the e55 engine/trans/differential is bullet proof.

You have obviously never seen one in person because that statement is fucking retarded. Not to mention, the E55 AMG's look hideous. No style and look like old Mercs. the newer AMG models look awesome though. I suggest going to a Chevy dealer and actually looking at the luggage space. You will be very supprised.
