she did a lot of drugs while in the band "the runaways". im not for sure if she's still on them (i highly doubt it lol) but she has confirmed that she has quit drinking.

i just watched a vid from 2 years ago of her and she seemed to have aged a lot in only 2 years because the 1 in 2007 i was wow she looks gr8 i dont see how 2 years can age someone so fast.

My band and I went on tour with her in 86' durring her Maggots lp Anniversary Tour then we saw her again after that durring her Blowfly tour and she shot herself in the mouth in 1998 out in some woods by her house in NYC. What a tragedy! Drugs were a major factor with her! She looked just like this around the time we last saw her!

I agree!...I also will say that I personally saw Wendy use heroine......and I've met Joan several times.....I've only heard she did heroine ever since the Runaways but has since been trying to clean up....and that both women share being a vegan rock and roll singer musician lesbian who has dabbled in heroine usage as so many others have in the buisness and still do.....even James Taylor , Carley Simon and the GoGos for Christ's sake. But I'm only stateing that they both share this same look!

I had my own battle with drugs durring my 30's after loosing my father to heart disease and I knew that I would have to clean up if I wanted to live or have any kind of life that was worth living! Kristen Stewart doesn't even like being in twilight, but shes under a contract so she has to do the whole series. One of her favorite musicians is Joan Jett and The Runaways so far has been her favorite movie to act in, even with all that 'bad' drug use. Joan Jett doesn't drink or do drugs anymore and her voice has always been that way.
