  • Cool =D I probably would never even attempt this...(I have figure skates anyway, I probably wouldn't be able to) I only watched it because I really like the crunch your skates make when they hit the ice....

  • @Prolite Blades hitting the ice (or roller skates hitting...anything XD) is one of my favourite sounds XD

  • I'm just about managing to do this. Hopefully with a bit more pratice, it won't look too bad :) Thanks for a good tutorial video! :)

  • im 13 i did this about wen i was 11 um try using T-blades makes a way better noise and digs deeper, avoiding skidding on the reversal

  • @TheMillinman Personally, I don't like t-blades. I hate the noise :)

  • @TheMillinman t blades are fucking shit.

  • Maybe in america it's named differently but ive always known that as barrol roll, also your skates sound really really sharp.

  • @babylolman "Freestyle" is huge in your country, and also in Europe in general. In the United States, freestyle only exists within very small communities in urban areas. Besides, freestyle is a different discipline than Xtreme Ice Skating. It seems as though extreme sports are not that big in your country. Skateboarding for instance, is huge here in the US.

  • @babylolman i know it as the barrel roll in New Zealans aswell

  • @TheMillinman It depends on whether you're freestyle or Xtreme, although almost the same movement. Xtreme tends to make a little more drunken'-like.

  • yo thx bro..

i try it at the rink jz now and i manage to do it..

  • @iskandar100k Congrats.

  • I've tried this and I can never do the first and last part

  • @ruuddabest: I've tried and failed. The heels are what mess it up. Maybe it would work with freedom blades, not sure.

  • @F1ak3r I've tried this trick in figure skates before. The toe pick gave me a problem, bot not the heels.

  • can figure shoes did diz?

  • @ruuddabest yes, but it's a lot harder because of the toe picks.

  • fkk thats SO PROFESSIONAL! 10/10!!!

  • This is really good dan, I skate at nottingham, UK i really wish they werent so strict here. Im starting to get pretty good now and before i couldnt get told of even if i tried and now im learning tricks n stuff they blow the whislte all the time...gonna try get down there when the rinks quieter, seem to get away with more stuff then.

  • Public sessions at nottingham is the worst. If I were you, I'd travel to a different rink and avoid nottingham altogether.

  • yea i cudnt agree with you more, its mainly cus am a student, and i struggle to put fuel in my car and stuff, makes it difficult...gonna try go upto sheffield sooon, think they let you get away with more. if i had a rink to myself id get better so much fasterrrrr.

  • I understand your money problems. I am going through the same thing myself.

  • hahah i found something my friend is amazed by and cant copy me

  • great dan

  • that's very hard i cant

  • Yes, your video are awsome. you teach how to do it step by step. it's very helpful

  • Thanks man!

  • okk nice trick i go practis this tomorrow

  • At last! I can master this trick!

  • Congrats! You should do a video.

  • Hey,

Thanks. I'll do one as soon as I learn new tricks, cus only drunken sailor wouldn't be a fun thing to watch! Whe learn like how to spin in my place I'll try to combine it with the drunken sailor trick so it would be a fun thing to watch ( I'll try to add some of my own moves too! )

    Hisham.

  • okay good.

  • Comment removed

  • I think $650.00

  • That's too much :S Could you tell me what's it's diefferent from hockey skates? :)

  • I can't do anything about the price. They're hand-made and customized exactly to your foot. They're made of leather (hockey skates are not ,which is why they break), and are engineered specifically for the sport. The skates are extremely strong and durable. They're made for jumping and to take a beating.

  • Oh, okay.

Dan, do you have an email or anything else which you are on.. cus i'd like to talk to you, as questions about the sport in another way than sending messages! well am goin to the rink now ( Inshala ) Cya soon!

  • Your hockey clothes are really cool!

I wana know how to do this + the cobra footwork, would take me like whole summer h oliday to do them but I'll try!

Thanks for all these useful tutorials dude!!

    Regards,

    Hisham.

  • I can't get the rotanional bit. please help.

  • Form a V with your skates and rotate from hips. Use arms to help with rotation.
