I had an amiga 400, and wish i never sold it... thanks for the upload, i loved the music from turrican 2, one of my favorite, i would load of turrican 2, sometimes and let the intro play, such a great machine... such great memories...

Amiga has simply this "something" except the OS that was ahead of others (now in mainstream) for many many years, just visionary, with dynamic construction (i.e. Windows till today is horrible "static"), cute, fast, and pressing much more from hardware that any other system, probably till today. simply... Amiga rules :)

AGA/A1200 was a severe dissapointment due to absence of chunky-pixel mode.

bitplanes were obselete as soon as you had 8bpp

LMFAO maybe thats true in Argentina m8, but in the rest of the advanced world technology has moved on and for the better.

Loved my Amiga kit in its day ......... but that was then. Don't let getting stoned on nostalgia cloud whatever rational sense you possess.

Having said that still baffles me how Commodore managed to go bust, back then when they pretty much owned the market.

@charly80years unfortunately, the microsoft dominance of the 90's has done much to stunt the growth of OS competition. I wish that Amiga OS were still around. Tho, I think NeXT was ahead of its time as well. Not to mention several other OSes that have existed over the years.

Brilliant video, the only games i didn't own in that vid were: Dogs of War, Ultima V and Sexy Droids! Luckily i still have 3 Amiga's which all work great and just love firing up some of the classics i have. I still have all my boxed original games and just firing up Populous to listen to the title music is great. So many fond memories, Amiga will always be my 1st love.

i still have my A1200-030+16meg with (i think) 125meg HD, its been so long i dont really remember the spec now,, but i bet it works fine after 10 years in storage

Well it shouldn't be any problem but check your capacitors, before you turn your Amiga on :) after such long rest.

My A500 took like 6 or 7 restarts before it even showed me the hand and disk ;) , after been put in the closet for about 15years.

I have my old amiga A1200T with a BVision and a PPC board 603e+ 210Mhz + 68060 on my garage just rusting to death... I doubt it still works

@EFileTahi If you've expanded it that much I'd recommend you to buy a NG Amiga. I got an A4k expanded like yours (even further, put in a towers with PCI-slots). But if you enjoy the Amiga a NG Amiga will be like your A1200 with all expansions but a lot better. You won't have all those hacks and stuff and it will be a lot faster offcourse. Also the new AOS (4.x) is a big improvement yet being what AOS has always. Check it out!

great computers , pity commodore got hold of the amiga inc and under funded it it and eventually went bankrupt... so sad...

we should be using Amiga's now not vista crap or mac overpriced stuff...makes me mad! just think where the amiga would be now? the AAA was completed in '94 and open GL was in the works for the next chipset..
