You should replace Ubuntu with Zorin/Ubuntu. It's an easy transition from windows to linux & is super easy to get used to. Completely removes about 95% of the complexity from linux that drives so many people away.
So that was pretty darn impressive. Always enjoy seeing cross-platform people who can demonstrate technology objectively. My only tip is that the X is pronounced "ten", not the letter x. Other than that, quite a nice demo of a bitchen box.

Yes this thing is amazingly talented work of art..but since this was an os xbox with a controller connections for the xbox, and other os's, there is only one big question i needed an answer, because you forgot to mention and to show us if this os xbox can actually run xbox games in which i think that was the whole idea of having this multiple os especially on xbox,.....please tell us if we can possible to run xbox 360 games as well........

your gonna destroy the power supply. the geforce 9800gt by itself needs a minimum of 450 watts to run. and running everything else. either your power supply is going to go out or its going to damage some hardware from power failure eventually the voltage may fall or the power supply crowbar protection cut in. This will result in sudden loss of power to some or all of the PC.
only thing that sucks no cd/dvd drive :( i guess u would just have to use a usb cd/dvd drive to install stuff drom disk still this was my fav build that you have made
@adamh3212 if you want to build a hackingtosh with a genuine apple dvd you can use something called iBoot, only thing is that it'll only allow use of 1 hard drive and the disk needs to be inserted at startup but you can fix that by installing multibeast once os x is already installed, as for the hard drive thing, I'm not sure whether multibeast fixes that or not

@mrljthedj problem is that it plugs into the motherboard so it won't work in a laptop (unless they do a version that's external) and it is very picky about the motherboard so you would have to check your desktop's motherboard type
@EmoticonMayhem hmm, i could make an adaptor so it fits usb. ive sortof rebuilt half of my laptop anyway. the screen enclosoure broke so i rebuilt it with perspex and added a bit more on the back (an extra hard drive, bluetooth dongle, second wifi adaptor, sound better sound card. all connected to the guts of a usb hub patched straight into the motherboard so adding the efix thing wouldent be a problem. but i doubt my motherboard will be supported :'(

You have really good fabrication skills but it's not os "ecks" it's OS TEN. See: emeek. Did you use a DSLR to shoot this? The video editing was really good in the worklog.

@dontwalkhand I actually just moved away from Macs after 2 years, I switched after the whole Vista incident but 7 is much better, but back to the point, it can be pronounced either way, ecks or ten, Steve jobs may say 10 but many people say ecks, and it doesn't really matter how you say it as long as people know what you're talking about.
I dont really ever use an optical drive anymore except when I'm first setting up a computer (well, also to play blu-rays now and that's not what this is for.) so it seemed pretty stupid to make compromises to fit an optical drive in when it was already packed the way it was. So I just use my usb optical drive for the install.
@urgettinghacked he has like 4 hard drives in it, he doesn't need one. also he has firewire and usb, so he could always use an external drive if necessary.
The only issue I had was my mobo was very picky about ram. You have to set all the timings and stuff in manually or you wont be able to get through an os install. I dont know anything about those other mobos, you'll have to do your own research.

I'm sorry, mate. The machine is very interesting - don't get me wrong.
But what is its point?
Firstly, it's illegal to install Mac OS on non-Mac devices.
Secondly, the case is about as big as a mini-ATX case (you could have built the same system on a normal ATX case).
Thirdly, the case is quite small. Overheating will be a problem if you push your graphics and processor too much.
And finally, a normal mini-ATX case with similar hardware would cost you a third of what you spent.

and really Amazing compactness of the inner design!! may be some rubber guiding tubes for directed air flow could help with any heating problem.

You have really good fabrication skills but it's not os "ecks" it's OS TEN. See: emeek. Did you use a DSLR to shoot this? The video editing was really good in the worklog.

@mikeymike4g63 I dont hang around too many people that use macs but I've noticed a lot of other people (perhaps just around here) saying "ecks," so I guess it just stuck. And yes, the dslr was only used in parts of the worklog.

@bilum @bilum Roman numerals were Latin characters so guess what, unless you were saying something like OS decem you're wrong. It's OS TEN. People who say OS 'ECKS' or OS EQUIS or any other way to say X such as CHI if you were Greek... are retards. X is a letter and it's pronunced 'ecks'. X at the end of "OS X" is TEN. You said it yourself.

So if you are looking at a church clock face or the clock face of grandfather clock, and the big hand was at 12 and the little hand was at 10 you would say "oh look, its decim o'clock" or would you say "oh look, its TEN o'clock"??
It is fully accepted across the entire planet that the roman numeral X can be used to indicate 10. I won't be reading your response, because, well, you're wrong and I won't be wasting any more time on this.

ermm, you said that ecks (X) wasn't a viable way of saying ten. bilum has shown that it is yet you are still arguing it. Saying OS TEN and OS X is saying the same thing.
We have 40-45 staff that use Macs for our design work and we all refer to it as OS X, I can't see why you have such a bee in your bonnet about it. OS X = OS TEN, it's just quicker and easier to say.

@roflyourdumb Last time I checked I put quotes around "ecks" and also last time I checked "ecks" and "ten" have the same syllable count so neither is more difficult to say than the other.... physically. Mentally.... maybe for plebeians such as yourself and your co-workers it probably must be quite difficult to recognize that X is TEN in the case of Apple OS version 10. I never said Mac users were smart either so you could have legions of people using them... Doesn't mean anything to me.

@mikeymike4g63 I have a MacBook Pro, and I've been working with Macs for about 4 years. I've always referred to it as 'OS ecks'. But thats mainly because thats how I say it in my head as I type.

Go to Applications > Utilities > Terminal > Type in "say" without the quotes, then type in "Mac OS X" and press return.
Also, just watch any old Steve Jobs keynote. I've been using Macs since the ][ GS, so don't tell me that if you just switched to Mac after the Intel transition.

@dontwalkhand I actually just moved away from Macs after 2 years, I switched after the whole Vista incident but 7 is much better, but back to the point, it can be pronounced either way, ecks or ten, Steve jobs may say 10 but many people say ecks, and it doesn't really matter how you say it as long as people know what you're talking about.

I dont really ever use an optical drive anymore except when I'm first setting up a computer (well, also to play blu-rays now and that's not what this is for.) so it seemed pretty stupid to make compromises to fit an optical drive in when it was already packed the way it was. So I just use my usb optical drive for the install.

The only issue I had was my mobo was very picky about ram. You have to set all the timings and stuff in manually or you wont be able to get through an os install. I dont know anything about those other mobos, you'll have to do your own research.
