its hard to go backwards at the beginning. things are a little opposite. it helps to move your inside ski forward during a turn. as for your non-twin tips, you might catch a back edge on a bump and slam your head into the snow...

lol exactly that happened to me last feb, i did a 180 over a jump on normal skis, landed switch, hit a bump, 1 ski snapped off and hit my head in the snow and didnt stop moving...bad mistake!

Yes it is. I actually broke my arm last year because when I tried to land backwards the back of my ski got lodged in the ground and I fell back. Haha at least I talked my parents into getting me twin tips.

dude i am sorry to say but, u obviously don't do freestyle because, you can't 360 onto a rail and you defenitly can't 540 onto a rail either. hitting huge jumps and doing kool spins is kooler then using dinky rails anyways. you don't hear TJ schiller doing a 270 onto a rail but you hear him doing a switch 1440 mute so shut it nerd.
