  • Hey the answer to this video is at 4:40 - man this guy sure knows how to ramble on & on & on & on....

  • YOU ARE A KING !!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU... I love you !

  • You are PRO at tutorials. You speak clear and with good annunciation.

This should be expected, but you dont know how many tutorials I come across on here that sound like they were done by loons.

  • @minimullen

Thanks, appreciate the nice compliment. Life is funny. I did these mostly to amuse myself, but I ended up getting a job out of it, developing a full blown Melodyne tutorial for an internet audio company. :)

  • @ITBstudios Wow, impressive. :D

  • thanks Seinfeld

  • This guy is so cool, awesome tutorial :D

  • @cheezymcwiggles

    Thanks, appreciate the compliment :)

  • hi! i have the melodyne vst plugin & i use it with fl studio9. when i hold alt+shift, it doesn't copy the notes.. it just moves the note without snapping. plz help me with this..

    thanx.

  • thanks man :)

  • hey for mac, shift and option doesnt work for copying any suggestions? thanks

  • Holy shit this dragged out...Farkkkkkkkk, just get to the harmony, you already assumed the user had this software.........fark

  • this is great if your trying to do harmonies alone, but i like doing it with other people

  • @PivotAnimator50

Agreed, if you have access to other people for harmonies and such, that's obviously a far superior way to go :)

  • @ITBstudios well if i could figure out how for studio purposes i use my own voice as the harmony i can make like 2 good ones but not the one i want

  • Thank you,

    Thank you so much :-)!

  • @ITBstudio does melodyne editor allow you to create harmonies

  • did you pitch correct your own voice in the video?

  • ok i have a question im not really good with notes and stuff...u had said in ur video "melodyne while being fairly good at detecting where the pitches should go,doesnt always get it right every time" how would i be able to tell if this happend to one of my vocal tracks ???

  • @Blood863

Well, if you use the pitch correction feature, and melodyne "shifts" the note up or down incorrectly (as can happen from time to time) you'll have to manually move the note to the correct pitch. Melodyne will usually get it right, but it can miss from time to time.

  • can you help me please? nothing plays when i click space bar!!!

  • Change your Output buddy to your pc or soundcard, hoped this helped xo

  • @Persian10Prince click play.

  • hi, i have a question...i tried to make a harmony in melodyne and successfully made a copy of the vocals and moved them up, but when i pushed spacebar to hear it i only heard the new copy and not both together like when you did it..i have it on play whats shown, do you know whats wrong?

  • Well Melodyne has a couple of different ways that you can play audio. You can tell it to play only the current track you're working on, only the visible tracks, or the entire arrangement.

My guess is that you have it currently set to play on the track you're working on. You can change this via the drop-down selector in the upper right part of the screen (you'd want to select all visible or entire arrangement). I'm doing this from memory, but that should point you in the right direction.

  • @ITBstudios actually i have it on play visable the whole time, still doesnt work.

  • can i turn my notes froma acapella into key sounds like a riff in melodyne?????

  • You could, however if you have the option to sing additional notes to make up your chords, that will always sound more realistic.

Experimentation is a great thing and really easy in Melodyne, so definitely duplicate your notes and give it a shot!

  • You bring up a good point for future videos fnub, I could post a "cliff notes" at the beginning outlining the key points, for those who might not want to watch the entire video.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

  • Instead of watching the whole video, the answer is roughly at 4:40 - holding alt and shift to copy/drag the notes to the next harmony desired.

  • Excellent tutorial! Keep on the good work!
