This took my mind on a walk through my past. Remembering what it was that made me want to learn how to play and why I keep it close to me as I follow the steps God has placed me in.
very nice, Mr White. I really like the musical quality of this piece. Its very disjunct sounding I guess you could say. An odd rythym, experimental, I like it very much.
To all the people complaining about lack of melody, you are simply wrong. There is always a melody, from start to finish. Some bits are more simple and "understandable" to the masses, some are more complex and thought provoking. I find the mixture and balance to be perfect in this.
It's just at many points it is not following any standard tempo or time signature. The musical term for this is "FREE TIME" and I suggest people complaining about no melody should look it up and learn something.

It's not all about speed picking and fret acrobatics... at the cost of a sweet melody, none of that showie stuff is worth it. Start with a nice song and don't lose touch with it.
If you can't understand the ever changing melody there then maybe you need to go listen to something else a bit "easier"...perhaps some stupid pop music nonsense?
This really is a beautiful song with many subtle melodic nuances and emotive parts to it. The tempo and dynamics also seem to kind of swell backwards and forwards at times.
Wonderful guitarist who is fast becoming a huge inspiration to me. Thank you candyrat records for the public exposure of this and many other fine guitarists!
hmm.. a bit to chaotic.. no real melody line to really follow because of all the 'extras' trying to be added. but all in all it is decent to listen too.
If there could be an exemple for the meaning of epic it would be this
guitarist
