  • thank god they changed to Procol Harum.

  • B.J. Thomas was not in the Paramounts or Procol Harum. It was drummer B.J. Wilson, who also drummed early on for Procol Harum until he passed away.

  • Amazing!

  • A song written by Jackie DeShannon (with a little help from her friend Jimmy Page).

  • B.J. Wilson, not Thomas.

  • Southends finest!

  • The opening riff /chords of this flop are ripped off from Jimmy Justice's 'When My Little Girl is Smiling (also 1962/3)!!! Poison Ivy was a good'un though - and I remember seeing the Paramounts live at the Tarpots pub in Essex. They weren't bad as a live band...

  • The amazing thing about the 60's is how far they progressed in such a short period of time. So he goes from this to a Whiter Shade of pale...in how many years?

Thanks, as always 45rpmSINGLES. A nice upload again.

  • Around 24 months - this was recorded in March 1965 & Whiter Shade of Pale recorded early 1967 & released May 1967.

  • Sounds like they are trying to sound like the fortunes.

  • oh like this moving track ,,,,, thanks

  • Very good British song. 5 stars.
