Seriously, I'd love to know exactly how Anaheim Ballet teaches turning to their students/dancers, as every single dancer that i've seen there can do multiple (more than four usually) pirouettes en pointe - even those whose technique lacks elsewhere. They must be teaching them something specific, as this is way way unusual!

Best of luck! This year's my second, and just a word of advice- don't get discouraged! I got really upset because I thought it was too hard but if you just keep practicing at it then you'll dance wonderfully!

so polina worked her head off with hard work and now shes one of the most amazing prima ballarinas ever!

ahhh, i do ballet. i love it, but i have an issue with my studio. our studio is absolutely awful. we have 6 levels, i`m in level 5, and let me tell you it didn`t take much effort to get there! personally i think i`m awful, i`ll upload videos soon so i can get feedback. o__O

pointe (e at the end) shoes don't have wood at the toe. they are made of a combination of paper and paste that form a hard "box" that protects the dancers toes and provides a platform for the dancers to balance and dance on.

She was just stretching her arch (sp). I do that (or at least something similar) in my ballet class, and it really doesn't hurt very much--especially with pointe shoes on.

But other aspects of dance can hurt ;)

hi i love these videos ballet is so beautiful. i started ballet when i was 8 and i am 14 now so i have been doing ballet for 6 years. i am in grade 4 and i am working towards my grade 5. i will hopefully be doing the exam in june. i like the spins (i can't spell the word not very good at french) in one of my classes we do 2 types and i can only do one turn and a bit. some girls in my class are almost doing 2.
