SOMEONE knows how to export WITH the effects of GUITAR RIG ? i only hear the clean sound in the export files ,if i reproduce them CUBASE it´s ok but not as a wav archive
@OhMyTofu Look for the volume sliders in GR 4. There are a bunch of them like on your 'tapedeck' along with a master at the top. Also if you have like a guitar link usb interface thingy you should check the volume on that as well.
I realize that an amp is always going to sound better to someone who plays guitar, but to be honest, 95% of listeners won't be able to tell a difference between Guitar Rig and real amps. The last time my band was in the studio, we recorded everything through through live amps, but recorded one guitar through this program. No one can tell the difference...the engineer even mentioned how he forgot which track was running through a program.
Hey, have you guys seen the new Windows 7 equipped StudioBLADE keyboard workstation? Its perfect for running all of your Windows compatible software and plug-ins! Click the link below to check the videos on our channel!
dude, i dont get it, why my guitar sound's sucks. (i know its pretty cheap but still) Im connecting guitar to computer's LINE IN (i've got big jack cable) and it goes with asio4all to Guitar Rig 4. But still sounds lame. Some noises and etc. Maybe i must buy some Audio Card? or i have to but new guitar? or something wrong with setting? please let me know.
@Gigatless Get an audio interface. You're gonna blow your amp and your computer doing it that way (do you have an amp?).. Guitar - Amp - Audio Interface - Comp - Guitar Rig.
wow that was wonderful, thank you so much. I love the turkish tone and yes the hot plex did sound like little wing ... Guit Rig is just brilliant ... whether you want the Edge like multi-layered soundscapes or pure simple but brilliant tones ...
Btw - can you suggest a good mix to make a Hollow Years sort of Dream Theatre sound and also for petrucci's Glasgow Kiss ...??
wow that was wonderfull, thank you so much. I love the turkish tone and yes the hot plex did sound like little wing ... Guit Rig is just brilliant ... whether you want the Edge like multilayered soundscapes or pure simple but brilliant tones ...

I only like the clean tones that you can get from these modeler things. I can never get a good distortion, but the clean tones sound great most of the time (in my experience).
Please help me out, I wanna record a heavy metal song on guitar rig but when i record it the save it then play it back on Itunes it has no effects no amps nothing, its just clean, what do i do to record well not just a clean guitar? please and thank you I appreciate the help, and please reply directly so i can see this as soon as possible
@dfrm13 it's because you're recording on the wrong recording dock. You're recording your guitar before it goes through the amps in guitar rig. Scroll down to the recording dock on the bottom of the guitar rig interface, and record your riffs on that one instead.
Hey guys I need help I have guitar rig pro 4.0.7 and I have downloaded the update off NI website(4.0.8) but what do you do with the rar file do you unzip it in a certain file or do you go through the set up process which I have previously tried and lost all my presets what do I do. have vista 64bit btw help will be highly appreciated.
Guys who complain that Guitar Rig sounds like shit need to realise you were never meant to run it straight from the computer...
Guitar rig is meant to be used with the guitar rig kontrol, session IO or mobile from them. Literally everything sounds better once you've got those, since all the processing is moved to the guitar rig pedal itself. The PC is only an interface to change amp settings, etc.
im using the demo and am not getting any sound. input and output is registered but no sound comes out thru my speakers. im using intergrated sound. any ideas?
@jdawg4098 i have guitar rig and these sound better than the presets when i use them...i've found that the cabinet sounds ruin things for me, so i use some of my own gathered impulse responses and then it sounds really great, the amps have great response and compare more to these demos
Have used. A good product. Great capabilities but IMHO, it is a little bit on the thin side. Warm but not tube warm if you know what I mean. It seem there is no emulation for audio electrons smashing against a tube grid and plate. I am sticking with my twin tube ZOOM unit that is grab and go. It's the warmest sounding unit made to date. great price too. Guitar Rig 4 is by far the best alogrythum based processor for guitar to date but for me it's no tube is no bueno.
hey i'm curious how you got such good guitar tones. i tried the metal riff one, with the ultrasonic, control room, and reverb. but it doesn't sound as good as what i'm hearing here. i'm wondering what kind of hardware/computer/software you use? I'm using a laptop with a usb guitar cable, which is probably part of the problem. if not all of it..
Im thinking of start play on amplitube or guitar rig , more or less sell my real rig , got a bunch of pedals and a real 100watt all tube amp today, I play most hard rock but uses both clean and heavy overdrive now, think Im gonna keep my wah pedal tho, but can I do this? play live and in studio whith my guitars wired in to a laptop? ... I mean, Is the tone good enoth in these programs? please give me your opinion :) thx !
how did you connect your guitar to your computer. As in is it like pod farm were i could just use my line 6 toneport because the stuff on pod farm isnt that great compared to this
There are no acoustic settings, but I mean, plugging an Acoustic into some of the clean amp models doesn't sound bad. Also just use it without an amp setting, just straight through.

But a very inexpensive and good sounding way to use Rig - buy a pair of used guitar amps, even 30watts is good and you can have the pre-amp stage bypassed - use Guitar Rig and play in stereo for less the $100.00
wow I cant wait to try out GR4, what great tones. I have GR3 kontrol edition and love it. The tones sound so good. and recording with the tape decks and playing with mp3s are so easy.
