  • Btw, the horns sound amazingg

  • U.S.A. U.S.A U.S.A. U.S.A.!!!

  • best country on earth!

  • Long live the United States Air Force and the B-24 my dad flew in WW2 Great video!!!

  • Semper FI! God Bless You, America and our Troops Always!

  • THAT WAS THE WIMPPY-EST MARINE CORPS HYMN I HAVE EVER HEARD

  • OKKKK Im in hs and we sounded nothing like that...but we were missing like half the band sooooo...yeah

  • Clarinets on intonation and low brass intonation right before air force. Hard song to get perfectly in tune though. Nice job trombones throughout the entite song

  • D: I can't hear the horns at all. Oh well, not a very exciting part anyways.

  • ive played flute on this 4 times lol i love the flute part for the Air Force part

  • I'm a freshman and for my school's upcoming concert this is my favorite song. You guys sound great.

  • In this piece by Bob Lowden, 3rd trombones have a mad awesome part at measure 141. I'm still working on getting it down before Veteran's Day, haha.

  • @Borolasia

this was pretty god for the time you had.

  • @marionmavericks Thanks! :)

  • @marionmavericks this show respect tou my brother and sister in uniforms

  • Whenever I hear this played the Air Force song gets the loudest applause. It's a pretty awesome song.

  • Just played this today to send some troops to

    Kuwait today!

  • We play this every year for our highschool band concert. Our wind ensamble sounds this good (our highest level band) but our other two basically suck lol

  • WHO ARRANGED THIS? WHERE CAN I PURCHASE THIS ARRANGEMENT FOR CONCERT BAND AND ONE FOR ORCHESTRA? Thanks!

  • @LordLewy Check JW Pepper. The one we play is arranged by Bob Lowden.

  • On the contrary to what seirra54 said, I think you guys did very well, specially given the practice time you had. Most of the notes seirra54 thought were wrong were in fact right. And when seirra54 thought that the clarinets and trumpets weren't together, well, they weren't supposed to be. It was a call answer, except the trumpets had a slightly different rhythm. They main (and very apparent) problem was intonation. Definately needed a lot of fixing. Thats what led to the "wrong notes & pitches

  • i'm playing this in my high school band this year, but we don't sound this good

  • @Borolasia

0:09 - 0:14 Trumpet cracked, chord held by upper winds is pitchy possible wrong notes

0:56 - 0:59 Upper winds still cant figure out what pitch they want, overall getting better

1:11 - 1:21 Starts with issues in the clarinets and trumpets dont move together

The flutes were the primary problem pitch wise.

This was better than a majority of other ATSSB Region bands. I am sorry if I offended you, given a few more hours this would have been better. Sorry, I am kind of a band geek...

  • @Seirra54

It doesn't bother me since you have legitimate points. I was just worried you were going to be one of those people with their pinky up as they sip their tea (and you aren't, which is good). It's true that we needed more practice - I think we only had about 10-16 hours worth of time to split between 4-5 pieces. But hey, what can you do? Flutes are not very agreeable, and well, shit happens. :)

  • @Seirra54 i under stand compleatly i notised that to but over all it sounded ok i mean the ppl are onley human i play trombone and trumpet and i can tell when parts dnt move like they should ive played this MANY times

  • @Seirra54 Downer >_>

  • @Seirra54 Thak you for your critique. All I know about it is that they played as we marched arounf the grinder and now when I hear it I become emotional! Pretty Stupid right? Well all that I can say is that I must have some kind of emotional tie to it.

  • Pitch... Also they didnt like to watch the conductor...

  • @Seirra54

Just out of curiosity, would you point out the places you're talking about?

  • my band played this today at skool for veterans day it was fun

  • @CUPACKELOVESMUFFIN O.O do you go to OV?

  • Ive played a variation to this in band a few years back. I believe the order for the anthems were Coast Guard, Air Force, Navy, Army, then Marines... Even from where I was sitting, it was great.

  • who was the composer for this song

  • @soonerman5574

    Honestly, I can't remember.

  • @soonerman5574 arranged by Bob Lowden

  • @soonerman5574 It's arranged by bob lowden.

  • @soonerman5574 It was arranged by Bob Lowden, I believe.

  • @soonerman5574 It was arranged by Bob Lowden if thats what you mean :).

  • Oh my goodness we're playing this in my high school band right now. I'm only a freshman, so this song is REALLY hard haha. I'm trying to practice and at least be able to play PART of the song, but at the tempo my band teacher is having us play it...it could take a while. Haha. But it's a beautiful song.

  • they sound good but i'm not so sure how i feel about the Marine Corps Hymn in this when the clarinets come in. as the daughter of a marine corp Colonel i know he would have prefered it muchhh more marcato

  • Amazing >w<

Eh heh, at our school, were gonna play this song at a concert. :3

I hope were as good as these people 8D.

  • It was a lot of fun, though I think Prisoner of the Ring is still my favourite. The Armed Forces Salute was definitely a close second though. Hope your performance goes well! : )

  • @uspunk

Haha, well if you were a T.C Euphonium you'd be just as cool as me! Nah, I'm kidding. I'm glad you're enjoying this piece too, I liked it a lot myself.

  • Wonderful. Thank you.

  • I absolutely love this song! I've played this song with the Catawissa military band since I was 13 and I'm 16 now. It is so nice when all the veterans stand up and are applauded!

  • Much, much better! Good work....Now it's right!

  • Good, cause I'm tired of fooling with it! : P

Anywho, if you still want to link our two videos together feel free to do so (I'm entirely new to youtube, still figuring my way around)!
