  • Ok he was never an atheist. At least he never thought about it much. Because atheism is not a philisophy.

  • @gulbirk At best, he was an atheist by default, because he never thought about religion until the ripe old age of 16-17, when he discovered he was an idiot.. wait, guess he never figured that part out. :P

  • @kirke420 LOL. Yes thats it I think. So in a way there is a difference between atheist. Some are atheist because they never thought about God, and some are atheist because they can actually think critically.

  • Nice work. Kirk Cameron is a tool! Plataduck anyone?

  • @TommyJools Thank you. It was nice to finally vent to (the portion of) the world (that saw this) about my grudge against this idiot. :)

  • i am sorry about your middle name, you could always get it changed.

  • @MobileThinker "Why should I change my name.. he's the one who sucks!" -Office Space

  • @kirke420 very good point! but good luck getting him too, he is stubborn enough to ignore the last 100 years of science, what makes you think he would change it? lol.

  • @MobileThinker I don't think you are giving Kirk enough credit here... he ignores way more science than just the last hundred years. :)

  • @kirke420 lol

  • "Why do i have to share a name with this fuck"

    LMAO

your parent collaborated with the church....

    its a conspiracy....

    joking : ) that sucks....

    peace mate

  • @azmanabdula It IS a conspiracy! :)

  • @kirke420 That's great.

  • @kirke420 yes....but to be fair so is this : )

  • Who is this redneck! lol the best part of the vid was the Beatles magnet on the fridge!

  • @Cdouglas0906 I love my Beatles magnet! :)

  • You rule!!!:D

  • @Ignorantf00l Thank you!

  • Jesus was a megalomaniac.

  • @PlanckEpoch I thought Jesus seemed pretty cool.. it was his dad that was the megalomaniacal asshole. :P

  • Like I said another video, I'd love to buy that book for shits n' giggles, but I'd rather not hand my money to bullshit artists.

  • @SpyHotz404 I know exactly how you feel! :)

  • Amazing that they not even know what a Atheist is before making a "Atheist Bible"!

  • @TheMightySwe Seems like they might have looked into that.. but no. :)

  • "I wanted to be 'looked at' as an intellectual"

    I lol'd too.

  • @JanusChristIsRisen Yeah, that was my favorite part. :)

  • @exposeaa My condolences for your brother... I guess it always could be worse.

  • @BeaverHoll They why are you wasting YOUR time commenting on someone else's waste of time? Seems like the latter would be a bigger waste of time... js

But to actually answer your question: I "waste my time" because I enjoyed it and I wanted to try to entertain people. By my measure I succeeded, but you more than welcome to disagree. By Ray's logic, if I entertain 1 person, 1 time, then I am an entertainer. :)

  • if god doesnt exist, and he doesnt welcome logical, reasonable, and sane people into heaven because they didnt believe in fairy tales then he aint worthy of my worship and is not my god, and he can also suck it

  • @chizzy555 Well said!... kinda.. :)

  • not believing in god, santa, or the easter bunny just means your a grownup

  • I have to admit, I never had faith in my atheism. A little oxymoronic isn't it?

  • @MultiPaulinator That's what I thought!

  • I wonder if Kirk Cameron has any proof that he was once an atheist...

  • @Cayvmann Cameron's "atheism" was before he turned 17 years old. By his own admission in interviews I have seen, He was a passive atheist.. meaning that although he did lack belief, it was not from thinking about it, but from a lack of thinking about anything religious, and he was never a freethinker.

  • @kirke420 So he went from not thinking about it to accepting an illogical proposition. That doesn't speak well for his ability to think. I would still question whether he was or wasn't indoctrinated at this point.

In the videos I've watched, he puts himself forward as someone who was an outspoken atheist, one who made a decision to be one. Admittedly, I haven't seen them all.

I agree no free thinking here.

  • If Jesus comes back, we'll kill him again... Lol'ed so much...

  • @Acrimonator Haha I saw that on a friend's facebook page the day I was making the video, so I decided to use it. :)

  • My sincere condolences on that ignorant prick tarnishing your good name.

  • @braeduin Thank you... I am now 7 videos towards feeling redeemed. :)

  • kirk cameron, rofl.

  • where is freedom of belief ?

  • @backtublive Wow, you are still asking questions... Funny, I don't see any answers... typical...

  • Hahaha.. Thanks for watching!

  • Faith in atheism? Thats the dumbest thing Ive ever heard.

  • Great vid - to bad about his name, you're screwed there :)

  • Thanks.. I've lived with it since the 80's.. I'll keep on coping. :P

  • @kirke420 what if you're wrong, are you ready to assume all the consequences , no going back then.

  • If you are referring to hell, then I am no more prepared to go to hell than a modern day sailor is prepared to sail off the edge of the earth.

How about you? Are you prepared for the consequences should the muslims be right about god? Or the mormons? Or the hindus?

  • any proof hell doesn't exist ? or are you just with your friends a new inquisition for those who don't believe in Evolution ?

  • You asked a question, and I answered. Then I asked a question, and you ignored it and asked another question. If this is not a dialogue, then it will end here...

  • @kirke420 you answered me and your self you're not prepared for hell so when you will be in the day of judgement you will have the scare that you never had in your living , sadly no way back.

a question for you, isn't the one who's right the one who got all right ?

  • I like your book collection. To be honest, that was my favorite part... I had to pause it a few times, look up some of the books on Amazon and saved the links, because I intend to buy some of the ones that I don't already have. Especially anything by Feynman or Sagan.

  • That's cool. Feynman and Sagan are my favorites, too!

  • Have you read any of Karen Armstrong's books kirke420? She does the extensive amout of research covering the complexities of religion. I recommend checking those out. My favorite book is The Battle for God, Through the Narrow Gate, & Spiral Staircase.

  • No. Actually, I have never heard of her... I'll have to look into that. Thanks! :)

  • U know when u got a jackass like Kirk Cameron and a retard like Ray Comfort, even God the Father is going," No, u didn't! .....Yo Jesus my Boy...I want you to descend to the earth to complete another mission, and this time instead of suicide, it involves HOMICIDE!

  • Yeah, if they ever meet god, she is gonna be really pissed at them! :P

  • Thank you!

  • lol

  • Thanks!

  • Huh, in norwegian "Kirke" means church.

  • Well, in my house it means "Me".. :)

  • WTF MY NAME IS KIRKE AND I AM A GIRL

  • Sweet! Never met anyone who spelled their name the same as me.. Except my grandfather who I was named after... :)

  • Kirke, you wanna know another thing to piss you off about your name?

It so happens that kirke in norwegian means...well, church.

That was my two cents... yeah I had a loosy day!

  • lol... Thanks for the info. :)

  • Sagan's "The Demon Haunted World" is also a pretty good read.

  • That is a great book, but unfortunately I lost it long, long ago, so it is not in my collection anymore. :(

  • Comment removed

  • good vid, except i actually did read some of the bible and parts of it on the internet just to get some contradictions and more things to argue about the bible.. nice vid still.. and kirk cameron is such a huge idiot whose preaching about things he hears about from blind brainwashed priests and other christians.. if god was real he'd do somethin to u me, and all the other atheists..

  • Thanks! I think that if god were real, he would make his presence know and there would be no such thing as an atheist.

  • so true, but when i say that to theists they say oh well why should he do that for some1 who doesn't believe in him? LIKE IS THAT A SERIOUS QUESTION.. i wanna see proof just as much as they do.. and there is none.. pfft

  • nice vid

  • Thank you!

  • I wonder how much money he makes off his book.

  • Too damn much, that's for sure!

  • "If Jesus comes back we'll kill him again" LOL!

  • A friend of mine posted that on facebook, so I used it... A bit extreme, but it made me laugh! :)

  • Yup,I can indeed imagine. He was meant to be a right annoying little prick when he was an actor, trying to convert all and sundry.

He's just a salesman of his shitty books,cd's and other fundie crap.

He actually invites you to "circumnavigate the intellect and let god into your heart"

In other words, stop thinking and drink the Kool Aid.

    no thanks fuckwad.

  • "I thought I was rejecting god and the bible" Kirk you retard an atheist doesnt reject god because he doesnt aknowledge his existence.

Which means you are a liar who was NEVER an atheist.

  • Can you imagine how much more of an ass he musta been at 18 years old.. when he "knew everything"?... lol

  • Theory isnt fact lol

  • I worked on a show with Kirk Cameron in the 80's. He really was a prick and still is.

  • From his own descriptions he sounds like a prick. :)

  • Great Video

oh btw. at 3:15 you remind me of Johny Depp for some reason, must be the mustache xD

  • Thank you... That would probably be the first time (and most likely the last time) that I have ever been compared to Johnny Depp! :)

  • Kirk Cameron is an ignorant, manipulative, moronic, waste of space.

  • Agreed. :)

  • Okay. I see what you are saying.

Now, just out of curiosity, have you ever read the Bible - with an opened mind? I'm not saying that you don't have an opened mind. But have you ever studied it & compared it with other historical events/records, and the events of today - like you would a history or science book?

  • Yes. I was raised Christian. Church on Sunday, youth group on Wednesday, Christian High School with Bible class every day.

It was with a thorough understanding of the Bible that I came to the conclusion that the Christian god is illogical, immoral, and inconsistent.

I did not read it as a science book, as it contains as much science as a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

  • Science vs Bible

Infectious disease is caused by pathogenic microbial agents, not demons. The Earth is an oblate spheroid, not a flat four-cornered surface resting upon four pillars. The Earth revolves around the sun, not vice versa. People cannot survive in the stomach of a great fish for a sustained period of time. The first hominids came out of Africa, not a magical garden near the Euphrates. Hominids and great apes share common ancestry, we aren't specially created in the image of God.

  • I meant only - have you studied it with the same mind set as you would a history or science book? People will only take out what they put into something. I hope one would put more brain power into studying the Bible than they would watching a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

    Could ask what denomination?

  • I didn't study it as a science book or history book. It was taught to me as the absolute inerrant inspired word of a supreme omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent being. I was santa-clause eligible and believed every word.

As I aged I realized the Bible contained several inconsistencies, falsehoods, and immoral prescriptions that lead to real human suffering. I tried to justify different claims and in the end I reached a point where it became obvious the Bible was written by men.

  • "As I aged I realized the Bible contained several inconsistencies, falsehoods, and immoral prescriptions that lead to real human suffering."

Not several, HUNDREDS. Inconsistencies, contradictions, scientific falseties, historical falsities, and many other things wrong with it whether morally or factually.

  • "I realized the Bible contained several"

Yes several, ie the several I realized. I was not referring to all the errors, but merely the ones that set me on my path to calling BS on Christianity and Biblical inerrancy. More specifically, the mistreatment and degradation of women, the story of Jepthah, the creation story, Noah's ark, and the flat earth theory.

  • I think the story of Job was the icing on the cake for me...

  • Why is it that other Christians dont see the bullshit even though we clearly point it out and give them the verse it came from? Personally i think its cause they want to stay deluded and dont care whether their beliefs are real or not, but whether they are comfortable.

But sorry if you thought i was attacking you, i know i tend to do that crap =P

  • Yeah np. I think Christians intentionally don't see the BS. They look passed it. I believe it's called willful ignorance. People have to do such amazing mental gymnastics to defend certain passages. At some point you have to make a decision as to how far you're willing to bend your mind to make Biblical writings a reality.

  • Those were my thoughts as well. Its just i cant put it into words as well as you did.

  • Could you be more specific with your examples. Which errors, in which verses?

And the Bible was written by men. Who said that is wasn't?

  • i think most poeple like to put as much brain power as possible into everything, whether it be a cartoon or ancient myths. and there is such a thing as being so open minded your brain falls out.

  • You actually share a name with that douche? Ouch, I really feel sorry for ya man. Good video, very funny, peace.

  • Thank you! Only part of my name is shared... but that's more than enough! :)

  • well now you got a new subscriber for this nice set of videos

  • Thank you! I keep trying to make round 4.. but it's harder than I thought... and I'm very lazy. :)

  • man this was so fucking funny, and by the way he is so full of shit, ya he was a die hard atheist at like 14, what a load of shit.

  • Thank you!

And yeah, I am about to take him on again! Hopefully I'll get it posted by tomorrow.

  • Why are you so bitter? Who/What hurt you so bad that you would put forth such an effort to bash somebody else that you have never even met?

You will believe the words of books that have not seen a century, by authors merely sharing their opinion, but you will overlook historical documents that have been around for thousands of years.

Demons are Biblical. If you have a belief in the existence of demons, can you deny what even they know is truth? Perhaps you just read of them. Explain please.

  • "If you have a belief in the existence of demons, can you deny what even they know is truth? Perhaps you just read of them. Explain please."

If there is a point at which I express a belief in any supernatural event, being, or power, then I have sorely misrepresented myself...

I do not believe in demons or angels or god or the devil or heaven or hell or jesus...

If you are referring to Sagan's "Demon Haunted World," then I suggest you take a minute to find out what that book is about.

  • I apologize for misreading the title.

So if you do not believe in a higher anything, what do you believe in? What do you live for? - If I might ask.

  • Great question... I would like to answer that in a video though, I will share it with you when I post it.

  • What do you believe in is probably the wrong question to ask an atheist. Belief implies knowledge without evidence. Belief requires faith; the same type of faith in unsubstantiated claims held by Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, and Mormons. Atheists lack that faith.

As to what one lives for, that's going to be subjective. Every atheist will have a different answer.

I personally live for the relationships with the people I love. Friends and family.

  • I do have beliefs.. just not faith. I believe that the universe existed forever, and that space is infinite. But the difference between my beliefs and religious beliefs is that I am not emotionally invested in my beliefs which make me less defensive and more willing to listen to opposing views and more willing to change my beliefs...

At the simplest level, I live for self preservation and self gratification, but reciprocal altruism ensures that I am not as selfish as that makes me sound.

  • If you are not emotionally invested in your beliefs, how do you explain these videos? A "special hatred" seems pretty emotional to me.

  • You misunderstand... My "special hatred" started way back before he became a christian... My hatred is because of the name. :)

  • It may stem from something further back, but the video seems to portray that your continuing hatred for him is fueled by his expression of the beliefs that contradict your own. In my experiences, a person doesnt hold onto something for that long without emotional connection to it.

I share my name with people that I don't particularly care for, but to make videos insulting them - I guess I dont understand, but that is why I ask questions. Youve the right to our own opinion - so does Kirk.

  • Everyone has a right to their own opinion. However, there is a moral responsibility that is violated when people intentionally misrepresent the truth as Kirk Cameron does. Whether it's misquoting the definition of atheism as you have, or claiming that a transitional fossil would look like a "Crocaduck" as Kirk Cameron has, society tends to avoid those who lie and are deceitful as it is generally counterproductive to society.

  • Whose truth? & Of whose moral standards or responsibilities are you writing? If you are writing about the morals that have been set by the human race, that isn't much to live up to.

Ex. Some have a conniption when the president kills a fly, but feel that the murdering of innocent human beings is perfectly acceptable.

People who follow human standards tend to fall prey to lies. It's those poor standards that cause girls to kill themselves to look "perfect" and give dirty politicians power.

  • The moral standards and responsibilities I'm referring to are governed by empathy, understanding other humans wants, needs and hopes, and most importantly what will benefit society. Lying, theft, and murder are actions that are counterproductive to society, and such actions are not tolerated by society.

  • "morals that have been set by the human race"

What other morals might you be referring to. I'm unaware of any others. Certainly you're not referring to the morals that have been set by the human race 2000 years ago. The morals that have since evolved to a higher standard. Slavery is generally admonished, women are treated as equals, and child abuse is illegal.

  • if god asked you to rape an 11 year old would you do it? and don't give me the god would never ask that junk. i just want to see how strong your faith is.

  • You think that a pure God is junk, but a perverse question like that is perfectly tolerable?

What exactly are you trying to prove with this question? I have a feeling that you are not merely testing my faith.

  • i never said that a pure god was junk. i was simply predicting one of your possible cop outs. now why cant you answer the question? your pure god seemed to think it was acceptable to ask abraham to murder his own son. this is only a hypothetical. would you obey and omnipotent all knowing being if he asked you to rape an 11 year old or not?

  • Your prediction implies that God is capable of perversion, thus not being pure. saying "don't give me the god would never ask that junk," seems to imply that you think the God I believe in is not pure.

I don't obey a god who asks me to do that. I obey God. The God of truth and what is good. Anything that contradicts what God is, isn't of God.

  • "Your prediction implies that God is capable of perversion"

it wasn't a prediction it was a hypothetical question there is a difference. and your idea of a pure god has already committed genocide and sanctioned slavery. so it seems to me that you look to god for your morality not your own idea of morality, so if god asked you to rape an 11 year old, why wouldn't you do it?

  • What genocide and sanctionof slavery are you talking about?

  • If you don't know then you don't know enough about your own religion to actually have a discussion about it. (hint: the midianites and amalachites to name two. and fo slavery just read leviticus and dueteranomy. yeah if you preoccupy yourself with my spelling of dueteranomy instead of the substance of the debate than than you officialy fail)

  • i never said that I did not know examples of slavery and genocide in the Bible; I was asking for you to give examples so that I could respond according to what you specifically had in mind. (I am not going to criticize your spelling. I am no good at it myself.)

    Amalekites.

    Deuteronomy 25:17-19

    1 Samuel 15:2-3 & 1 Samuel 28:16-18

    Midianites: Numbers 25:1-18

  • okay, you can respond to those if you want.

  • God did tell Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, but He did not make him sacrifice Isaac. God provided as substitute. (Genesis 22: 8-14)

This was a test of faith on Abraham's part. The idea that he trusted God so much that he was willing to give up his only son, says a lot about the strength of his faith and relationship with God. God provided for Abraham and Abraham was faithful to him.

The story of Abraham and Isaac gives also a glimpse of what came 100s of yrs. later, recorded in the N.T.

  • exactly, God tested abraham's faith. so if god asked you to rape an 11 year old wouldn't you do it and just trust god would work it all out in the end? i mean he works in mysterious ways doesn't he?

  • yes, I do believe he works in mysterious ways. I can't explain everything that God does, but I know that he is just and is all knowing.

Rape isn't just. What reason would there be for it? Even hypothetically.

In Abraham's case, in his time, people would sacrifice the best they had before God. There was reason for God's request, Abraham's willingness, and the substitute. It makes sense.

  • And the N.T. writings of Christ's life and death describes God's own willingness to sacrifice his own son because of his love for us. Maybe you don't believe that, but I do - and it is meant for everybody, not just a select few.

It doesn't contradict the character of God that I am talking about either. The request you suggested would.

  • "rape isn't just"

    so are you god?

  • I wasn't the one asking the question.

I'm not perfect - no where near it. I couldn't be God - nor would I want to be God.

If you can ask the hypothetical question, couldn't you give a hypothetical reason for it? I wouldn't question my God's authority on the matter, but you're not God either.

  • not sure what you are getting at here. its a hypothetical question about your relationship with god. you answering it honestly has nothing to do with us not being god ourselves.

  • yeah,kill your kid,makes perfect fucking sense,retard.

  • The definition of atheist is "one who believes that there is no deity." To believe something is to accept it as truth. Generally, a person lives for what they believe to be true. Having faith in something does not always refer to faith in a god. A person can put his/her faith in people too - like scientists.

I realize that people have different responses to that question. That is why I asked.

I am glad that you love your friends and family. What about everyone else?

  • "one who believes that there is no deity."

You're completely wrong. That is not the definition of an atheist.

An atheist is someone who lacks belief in god. Saying that atheism is a belief is like saying baldness is a hair color.

  • According to Oxford:

Atheism - noun - the belief that God does not exist.

    According to Webster:

atheist - noun - one who believes that there is no deity.

    According to Webster:

Belief - 1: a state or habit o mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing

    According to Oxford

belief - noun - 1 a feeling that something exists or is true, especially one without proof. 2. a firmly held opinion. 3 (belief in) trust or confidence in. 4. religious faith

  • Instead of consulting a dictionary, you should consult the atheist community. Dictionaries also go as far as defining atheism as wickedness, sinfulness, and heathenism.

What you are referring to, "belief that no god exists," refers to gnostic atheism, which makes up about 1% of the atheist population (Usually teenagers hanging outside 7/11 listening to marilyn manson and trying to piss off their parents.)

  • So do you think that there is no god - or do you acknowledge that there is one, but have no faith in it/Him? Earlier you wrote that an atheist lacks belief in god. By this are you saying that you know God/a god exists, but choose not to put your faith in Him/it or choose not to believe that He/it is on your side - OR - are you just flat out saying that you think that there is no god?

  • I'm saying there is no evidence for any type of god. I would not say "there is no god," because it is impossible to prove or demonstrate there is no god. Just as it is impossible to prove there are no fairies, leprechauns or celestial teapots. However, given that a god has not been shown to exist, I lack belief in any gods. I also lack belief in fairies and leprechauns, but would never say I know such things do not exist.

  • "Earlier you wrote that an atheist lacks belief in god. By this are you saying that you know God/a god exists, but choose not to put your faith in Him/it or choose not to believe that He/it is on your side"

are you fucking serious man? so by saying you don't beleive in something you are actually saying you do beleive in it but you don't? are you stupid or something?

  • Did you happen to read the entire post and conversation or just take what you wanted out of context in order to insult my intelligence?

Misinterpreting a person's words can be a dangerous thing. That was my reason for the post - To try and fully understand the other's comment and usage of the word "belief."

  • yes i read the entire post and it was one of the most mind numbing things ive ever read. saying you lack beleif in god does not imply to any rational person that you actually beleive in it but don't trust it. you're coming from this ray comfort style "i know you beleive in god you just won't admit it" stance its childish and nausiating.

  • I have heard the statement, " I do not believe in God/god," coming from various people. However, sometimes the meaning behind it has been different. Some have said it and meant it just as it sounds. They do not believe in the existence of God. Others have said it and meant that they lack faith in God, though they say that they think God does exist.

It may not seem rational, but not everybody thinks the same way or words things the same way. That is why I wrote what I did.

  • eh, fair enough i suppose you can ask poeple to clarify even obvious statements

  • Not all people that I associate myself with are 'God fearing.' I have heard how atheists define themselves and their "lack of belief." The only thing that seems to be consistent about their answers are the inconsistencies. People are funny like that - in general. Everyone has their own way of thinking & speaking, even when on the same subject. That is why I looked into a reference book. It was created with that in mind.

  • He we read many of the same books... Add Cass Sunstien's "Why Societies Need Dissent" and Sagan's "Demon Haunted World" and thats a kick ass book list.

    Great vid.

  • I've read Demon Haunted World, but not the other... I'll keep my eye out for it. :)

  • I lol'd by 0:10

  • Thank you... I've had my grudge longer than most people. :)

  • That was funny shite!

... except for the unfortunate same name thing.

  • Thank you.. I am reclaiming my name!!! :)

  • 1:27 "Why do I have to share a name with this fuck?" Ha ha ha!!! 5 Stars!

  • I hated him before I found out he was a fundamentalist fuckhead, but now that I know, I hate him more. :)

  • I don't know if I could sit in a cage all the time, or live off crackers and seed. :) But thanks for asking. :)

  • Too many books! Not enough time!

Thank you for the excellent book suggestions!

  • Your welcome, and thanks for watching!

  • You like facts.

    How about the books

    In the begining was Information.

God's Undertaker, has science buried God?

    Darwin's Black Box

and the 2nd most important fact is that THE BEATLES SUCK!

1ST is found in Romans 5:8-11

i'm sure that's not too much Bible to take in!

  • Thank you for watching! :)

  • The root of disbelief; people love darkness and sin.

Jesus said, "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (John 3:20-21)

  • Thank you for watching. :)

  • Nice. Hey, you pwned Kirk Cameron. Proud? :)

Love your book list. I read 6 of the ones you showed and they were all excellent, so I think I can accept your recommendations! Blank Slate - fucking classic.

  • Yeah, I know that pwning Kirk Cameron is about as hard as walking, but I still hate him. :)

I wanted to put "Phantoms In The Brain" in there, but I couldn't find it at the time I was filming. :( I'll assume from our previous comments that you have either read it, or it is high on your list of books to read.

Round 2 is coming as soon as I can resolve the "copyright issues."
