@IrishSpade Actually, there's a complex polyrhythmic relationship of the piano rhythm to the underlying 12/8 pattern of 5+5+5+5+4 versus the dotted eighth note "straight eighth" rhythm of the bass (turned on it's side when 12/8 is reinterpreted as 6/4 in the recapitulation), which is further made more complicated by the polytonal whole tone root flavor of the piano ostinato vis a vis...
Etc. Just accept it, it's weird. Plenty of music in it, it's just weird. Take it or leave it.
