  • Could you do some Animals or Yardbirds stuff with this bass? I'd love it.

    Thanks.

  • @ElliotRocker

    Thank you for your interest.

    I love Animals and Yardbirds.

But in YouTube are some other Epiphone Rivoli videos playing Animals songs like the simpsondavid videos.

I try do not repeat the same songs, but many thanks for your interest.

    Cheers

    Good luck friend.

  • This is such as lovely bass!! Is it neck heavy at all? Thanks!!

  • @royalbabbi

Not too much. The bass is well balanced and it´s a pleasure to play it.

    Nice bass, I agree.

    Thank you for commentary

  • is this the original bass made before 1990's turn that sucker up..put in some overdrive or something..via cliff burton..yardbirds

    HI:

This bass was made in Korea, at mid nineties. It was very good made, but I upgraded it with a vintage 67 original Gibson pickup.

    Thank you for commentary

  • I came across a used Epiphone Rivoli yesterday with flat wound strings for sale at a local music mega store in L.A. and was very surprised at the tone and ease of playing this short scale bass. WOW to say the least. It was for sale at $599 plus case in the light tan color (not sunburst like yours). I am saving up for a Jack Casady long scale bass.

  • @nbm53

Great Bass. The Rivoli is a very intresant bass. I own a Jack Casady also. The JC is great, and I love the long scale.

But the Rivoli is very different; not only the different scale, but differen sound because the Rivoli has a sidewinder mudbucker at neck position, so the sound is very fat.

The JC has the Electar low impedance pu at middle position; It souds very different.

Both are great basses; I love both basses.

  • @nbm53 I on a casady too. But got for the rivoli! Its a piece of bass-history!

  • @sliffer234

Yes, I agree. The Jack Casady is a good bass, but the Rivoli is a piece of bass-history.

    Good luck!

  • * * * * * (awesome)

  • Thank you friend.

    Un abrazo, amigo

  • Very signature vintage tone,I love it!! I am all confused as to how a short scale bass can sound so full and warm?

  • Yes! The secret is in the pickup. It brings 30khom output and a very deep sound, and it´s placed in neck position.

    Thank you for commentary.

  • Ah,I see now thanx!

  • Delicious! Bravo, Maestro!

  • Thank you, friend!
