I plan on purchasing this guitar soon... But I heard that it is manufactured in China and has somewhat of a bad finish, I also heard that the action is rather high. I don't know if this is true or not so could someone please clarify for me about what this guitar is like??? I plan on buying one from Amazon this weekend.
i'm late to this thread,sorry.I actually prefer the body style of Ovation,i adore standard bodied guitars,but wanted something that felt more comfortable to hold. I now have 5 Ovations. If you want really deep tones obviously go for the deep bowls,in particular the Elite-T series are incredible(the Elite 2078TX is really deep),another great hidden gem is the Celebrity CC29S(deep contour bowl).And from what i've gathered so far Ovations are hard to beat plugged in
NO guitar stores i've been to in England sell ovation guitars anymore, not even guitar village which stocks over 1000 guitars, wtf is up with that? Why?
that`s a really good idea. i love ovation guitars. this one is not a beauty,but i think with this mp3 player it`s a cool thing to sit around and easy record your inspirations.
why not put the mp3 from the demo that you did in a video so we can hear the quality. playing it through an amp doesn't really help. put up an actual mp3 recorded by the guitar!
Went to Local Guitar Center today looking for this Guitar. They had none in stock and told me it was being discontinued .. Hard to believe and not sure I do
i dont like it when in reviews they say that it has a good setup and low action. obviously this varies greatly by guitar. I've played gibson les pauls that have terrible action, and then i've played squiers that have an amazing setup.
it depends on the guitar. my Ovation idea had some issues. In fact, the action was very low. So low that any fret after the 5th would buzz out. i had to put some paper under the bridge to raise it.
ok review. I bought this guitar and it is ok. sounds pretty good. you get what you pay for. Didn't receive any instructions for it. Must go online to get the manual and the manual isn't that great.
WHY doesn't anybody cover the loop feature? I just bought the OPi for my red Celebrity Quilt top and I want to create percussion loops to use live using the guitar but Ovation didn't even give instructions!
Mind not working i put bew battery on it but still wont on the mp3... sucks!!!!! Nid to return it!
