  • how much didi you pay for one ticket!!!!

  • i think i just saw god

  • Oh man, the video ended right where Page was going to use his Theremin...would have loved to see that.

  • we want DVD please

  • Turn off the auto focus dude!

  • Page was so awesome the camera had tears during the solo .

  • \m/, (>_<) ,\m/

  • having a little trouble focusing the camera?

  • this concert was on my birthday lol

  • god plays a les paul

  • this show was recorded officially for DVD release. I hope it will eventually come out. Page once mentioned, he doesn't want to do that.

  • my favorite by Zep.

  • IS there professional footage of this show did anyone film the show ?

  • @wsdasda I thought I saw on some clips, there were cameras on these tracks rolling by the edge of the stage.

  • there is look behind the guitar amp at 1:00 :0

  • Hell that sounded more like the tool version...did tool tune down to d??

  • Tool probably tuned down to C or C#, but I'm really not sure how far down they went.

Led Zeppelin used to do this tuned down to D live - Song Remains the Same was down tuned to D.

This sounds like how they played it when I saw the Page Plant tour back in '98.

  • Tool play it in D

  • Really, because it sounds even lower. I would have bet anytthing C#. I'm going to have to dig up that cd now.... it's been a while

  • it is C# .at least thats how I play it.(and many of Tool's songs)

  • It sucks they had to tune everything down a full step

  • explain me that, i am new into music and i really want to know what that means

  • well standard tuning is e and they tuned the whol concert down to d which is a full step... and well it sucks lol but roberts voice cant take it

  • ok thanks

  • They didn't tune every song down, more like half.

I got used to it after a few listens. Sounds better than hearing Robert's voice crack every 2 minutes, like the Seattle 77 vid. This entire show is way more professional than Seattle 77, and similar foggy period gigs.

  • I am glad they did downtune too, this pparticular song is so much better down a full or half step than in standard. For a lot of other Zep songs I definitely agree, but definitely disagree with you on this one.

  • doent john bohnams son play drums for zep now?

  • yea

  • Hey, easy what you say. Cameras with autofocus will do that if something like a person's hand or back of their head gets in the frame, so it might not have been the guy's fault. At least he uploaded the video for us to see.

  • At least you have a fucking video so dont get shitty with him

  • Is that Les Paul a Honey Burst or Light Burst?

  • it's pageburst: faded from the orig. sunburst...50years of torture from the devils hands :-D

  • Jeck Beck loved ZEP'S 02 performance he had to be smiling when JP was ripping through that solo

  • umm learn to focus????

  • aww man it cut out right before Jimmy was going for the theremin :( :(

  • zoso!!!!!!

  • i believe there are rock concerts ,and then theres this.what they do onstage is so powerful, its just... sumthin!

  • "He's so good. He's ridiculous." - spot on commentary.

  • Ahh this is my favouritest riff of all time... hope they get back on the road.

  • estamos tomando chela con mi compadre fabi y ivan biendo led zeppelin en peñaflor grandes! VIVA EL ROCK

  • god i love him

  • John Paul Jones is great!

    In My Time of Dying

    No Quarter

    Dazed and Confused

    Hes fucking multi-talented GOD

  • i agree just awesome they are all geniuses !!!

  • You know it's funny. I spent most of my life worshiping Page and still think of him as my foremost musical influence. That being said, when I look back at Zeppelin, the true glue that held this band together musically was not Bonham, not Page, Not Plant (though they all were irreplaceable) but John paul Jones. His music genius is what I think would carry a new project head and shoulders above the Page Plant albmum. God I can't wait until thsi DVD comes out.

  • i could be wrong (and i hope so) but i think they said they wouldnt make a dvd of this concert :S then again.. ure probably right about JPJ.. he wrote the main riff for black dog.. he's the genius behind NQ.. wow.. battle of evermore.. going to california.. aaa.. still.. he wrote most of the "commercial" songs..

  • @keaner17 you know, i actually agree with that statement. it's not denying credit to any of them, but i've read alot about Zeppelin and your are correct, John Paul Jones was the glue that held Zeppelin together. He is a musical genius.. but like i've stated on another vid, i'm glad they threw in the towel when Bonham passed. that makes them a TRUE rock band, they WERE a band, they stuck together, and when one fell, they all called it quits.. Rock on!! Never Forget The GREATEST DRUMMER EVER!!!!!

  • they are gods.

  • holy shit.. hes using his original ZOSO cabinet

  • I never really understood the significance of it. Is the wiring of the thing different or does it just have the ZOSO symbol on it and that's why it's cool?

  • he has used the exact same original cabinet (that one) through the 70's 80's 90's to present

  • oooohhhh that's pretty sweet. I'm surprised it's lasted that long!

  • i dont think thats the original... i think the original had a lighter colored grill cloth, and the cabinet was a slanted front... that looks like a straight front i think.

  • well he had a couple of them, he used them for his guitar and JPJ used them for his keyboards.

  • So is he playing #1 or a replica?

  • My gander is that he is playing his "58

Les paul. However the "ed1275 doublenecks" are

    most definately replicas-Wouldn't dare risk

    the "fabled" real ones.!!!

  • Jimmy's #1 is a 59. If ya think about it, a n0n-page owned 59 is worth about a half million these days. Jimmy's is regarded as THE '59 of '59s. If you sold it, you'd probably be able to by Jimmy's entire collection of other guitars, plus a few Hendrix strats too!

  • I read somewhere that his collection of guitars is 1500+. His original ED-1275 doubleneck was valued at over $1 million I believe.

  • Keith Richards '59 Les Paul" sold for over 2 million, and he only played it on a couple of TV shows and then used it as a backup! Mick Taylor remembered it as a "piece of crap that we couldn't get to stay in tune" (!) Think about the price of Jimmy's considering he played it on EVERY Led zeppelin album except the first one, not to mention The Song Remains The Same movie.

  • wooow

  • One of my favorites. Atmospheric and otherworldly. Page rules. Plant sounds great too. I like it when he sings it straight instead of yelping and woo-hooing and rephrasing things. It can dilute it a bit. But here they sound really great. My first fave band when I was a lad. Hope I get to see them.

  • I like the guy who said "He's so good it's ridiculous" It is ridiculous. He's old but he can still do crazy solos.

  • holy shit! go talk about the beatles on a beatle video!!! stupid dumb fuck!

  • I like the silver hair! :-)

  • HOLY SHIT is Page on or what!!! Sounds as good as ever or even better! Still has that style!

  • Page the greatest

  • this is my favorite zeppelin song also love the tool cover

  • Tool cover? what? please post.

  • I think he is saying how tool covers this song and he also loves tool's version of the song.

  • Oh yeah.

  • YA there is a Tool cover, I like it, it's awesome and Led Zeppelin and Tool are my 2 favorite bands, but nothing beats the original

  • No, not really a Tool cover. :D

But the Version of Tool is so amazing! :o

  • ya know, i dont think jealous would describe what i'm thinkin of you right now :D.... That was sweet, ty for posting :)

  • That was awesome...

    Thanks for posting!

  • Great video thanks Page is fantastic, Plant sounds great, Jones is spot on and Bonham is really on cue.

  • BONHAM????????????????????????

  • yea, jon BONHAMs son!

  • oh right, cool. I didn't know that!;-)

  • How was it to be there?? :)

  • Best concert I've ever been to and i cant imagine i will ever be at a better one.

  • You lucky bastard..I envy you so much...:)

Can I ask how much you had to pay for the ticket?

  • Before the show my answer would have been 'too much', but it was all worth it. Flew over from NY so add that in to the cost too!

  • I hate you!!!...;)

  • the Part right before where you say "he's so good he's kicking ass" was just like the licks in '77. He was laying it down Zeppelin Style, SWEET
