  • Now, put a musicplayer in it, and a switch on the bottom.

  • TEARS.

  • Work of truly epic proportions for a truly epic game. I can feel the life flowing through every inch of your masterpieces. You have monumentalized something gentle. Thank you!

  • WOW I'm totally impressed! just wondering why you didnt include teh AH and MH areas other than that is just like the in-game part of town :D congratulations and you should do Sky or jeuno next maybe? :3

  • This is fantastic. Utterly fantastic.

    Amazing work!

  • This is awesome :D. It makes me feel homesick :3

  • Brilliant! Brings me back to the simple days of 2004 FFXI!

  • @Birkin07XBL

    Don't it, though?

Especially when the Windurst theme kicks in... oh man... lol.

  • How much did this cost you (Estimated) to make?

  • @StolenLettuce The total cost is in the description.

  • @karlwarpy Oh, I'm sorry - I should have read beforehand!

  • do want.

  • Simply amazing!

Someone send this link to SE...

  • You can tell us the big secret now, you're designing these for a ffxi themepark, aren't you ?

  • Nice. Where's Bastok?

  • This is amazing work warpy, I am from windy and you did a great job of making it look just like windurst walls =)

  • Oh looks like 2 ppl HP'ed at Death House XD

  • OMFG It's indeed awesome!!!! I'd like to learn how to do this and I'd do a rendition of sky or sea *0*

    My hat off to you!!!

  • GMs should give u an in game item for this ! seriously cool

  • Absolutely amazing.

  • It really is wonderful craftsmanship, but the major question that continued to ring through my mind was, "Why?"

  • @Erador Thank you. In response to 'Why?'... There is no real reason but I was standing around San d'Oria in September 2010 thinking of somthing to do. I began looking at the architecture in the Victory Square's main archway and it hit out of the blue (I wonder what this place would look like in real life), I've mentioned before that this was a Forrest Gump moment. i did afew drawings and before long I started building a scale model. This lead to ultimately doing all three cities (or part of).

    ty

  • @Erador Because Windurst is the best. =)

  • I just had to sign in for this. I had a smile on my face through the whole video including South San d'Oria.

    /kneel

  • Noob question: What did you use for the water? O.o;

  • @NailaX A sheet of perspex (plexiglass) covered with simulated water used by scenic modelers.

  • amazing!

  • Incredible! I look forward to your work on the bastok scale model, and would enjoy seeing Jeuno (rulude probably, or port so you can make the airships), kazham would be cool, and aht urhgan white gate to finish it off in a grand finale!

  • death house @ 6:05 ... D:

  • Absolutely incredible! You are so talented and I admire you so much for your dedication to Vana'diel. I can't wait to see your rendition of Bastok!

  • Unbelievable! Great work! I am very impressed

  • This would be great to plan Dynamis strategy in a war room....

  • I think there needs to be a game museum somewhere with original concept art, promotional things like props and models such as this and a place to hold live concerts for the music. then people might just take games as a serous art form.

  • I'm just curious as to what you actually do with these models once they are complete. Do you sell them or keep them around as a conversation piece?

    Anyway, absolutely amazing work!

  • @sagian2005 I won't sell them, they are not my designs. I would give them away tho under 'special' circumstances. If there was an FFXI museum or somthing then they'd be my first choice lol. They are kept in storage (my attick) and running out of space.

  • As a taru I whole heartedly approve! That should have been submitted for the art contest and if it didn't even get a honorable mention, then BOOO TO SE.

  • Awesome project! Such detail!

    Long live Windurst!

    Long live FFXI!
