  • I like Tai Oratai and most of her songs. Her voice is so sweet and calming. In this song, I think that the version of Ladsamee Phoudindong is superior in terms of music, lyrics, presentation, visual, audible graphics and over all quality, and I have just given her 10 out of 10 rating. Sorry if I seem biased.

  • @LaosLoveLaos, no problem, to each his own, and I agree with you. Thanks.

  • Any body know what that instrument is called that the girl is playing? It looks like a bunch of pots and she hits/dances with it.

  • @Krittayot95, good question. The instrument is part of Isaan musical tradition. You should get an answer.

  • I'm sorry to say that "I wish you succes" is definitely not the correct translation for " Ao Jai chuay doe ay" ...

  • @olissime, thanks. Please tell what the correct title is, and I will rectify the error.

  • @olissime I'm sure เอาใจช่วย means to "wish someone success" right?

  • @DudexMaple, thanks for the correction.

  • Does anyone know when Tai will next perform in France ?

  • Thank you. i'll try akadate. I noticed he had her in Brooks, CA on Oct 10. Maybe he knows all her dates. Thanks for your uploads and quick responses.

  • @boongsong1, good luck. I hope that you get to see Tai perform at a live concert.

  • I understand Tai will be in California in October. Do you know her schedule?

  • @boongsong1, sorry, I am Canadian and only know that I will be at her concert on 23 October in Newmarket/Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Someone in the local Thai community should be able to give you the information...I hope.

  • Thank you for your reply and the info on Tai.

  • @boongsong1, you are most welcome. I will be seeing Tai when she appears in Toronto, Canada, on 23 October.

  • udonthani - you have the finest quality videos for Lao/Thai artists anywhere on You Tube.

  • @boongsong1, thanks for that comment although I am not sure that it is true. Tai, by the way, will be touring the U.S., and Canada in October.

  • I wish you success @ Udonthani3750, thanks for the nice videos!!!!

  • most of my life I grew up listenning to R&B and Rock, I din't care for Thai and Laos music, until I hear Tai Oratai, now 90% of my musics is Tai Oratai,Wanwisar Jagajan,Takkatan Cholada thanks Udonthani3750, you bring me back home.

  • Thank you so much for that very nice comment. But, real thanks should go to the performers like Tai and Tukatan for making such great music, and, of course, to the Thai and Lao people for producing this culture and tradition. It is great that the performances are so meaningful to you. It really is wonderful.

  • Yes, the Lao language might have been the original Thai language used around Sukhothai, and is certainly similar to Isaan speech, which is understandable since much of Isaan is populated by Lao-speakers. Again, many of the phrases are not available in my dictionary, but it would be correct to say that the Bangkok government has tried to downplay the importance of the Lao language, culture and people in the history of Thailand (Siam). I hope I have understood you properly. Sorry for any mistakes

  • where can I get outfits like hers????? She looks good in all of them. Please tell me where I can buy one like that here in USA.

  • Hmmm, I am in Toronto, Canada and you cannot get these type of outfits here. But, you may be luckier in the U.S.A. I would look for some Thai specialty shops or see what is on e-bay.

If you are still not successful, save some money and visit Isaan, Laos and Chiang Mai.

The outfits are really beautiful and I can see why you would want one or two or thousands!!! 55555

  • I guess that's what I'll do... go to Laos next year and buy some. Thanks.

  • Good luck, I am sure you will have a great experience in Laos.

  • One of my favorite Lao singer from Issan.

  • Me too, and I am sure many other people agree with you. Thanks for the comment.

  • This is Lum TangWai. Every Lum that Tai performs equally good not less from one and other. I enjoy listening to them all. Thanks for upload.

  • Yes, that makes sense.

Each Lum represents a different area and its culture. Therefore they are all excellent, and good examples of the rich culture that makes up Lao tradition.

Thanks so much for your comments.

  • I am very delightful to see more Issan or Lao Issan lums to have been chosen by very popular singer. This lum has been so popular in both banks of Mekong river, which are Northeastern provinces known as Issan and Laos. Uncountable numbers of Lao people residing in abroad such as US, Canada, France, and UK love this lum so wholeheartedly. She is an ambassadorial musical person that is so capable to raise the social status of the Issan or Lao Issan people's beautiful culture and ways of life.

  • Your remarks are well-taken, and I am grateful for them.

  • I have heard this is near one of three parks close to Ubon. I want to visit there next month. Apparently, there are old cave paintings from thousands years ago too.

The dancers look great too. I really like morlam too, and I want to see you dance one day! 55555
