@MrHuskerfan99 I can understand Shane's pain in many ways. He didn't lie to Laurie who thought her husband was dead. But maybe it was his approach to the dilemma that made things worse. But he has made really bad mistakes along the way that makes him seem like the bad guy. I am a fan of Rick and with the most recent episode I'm aching to see what happens between two brothers who have been thrown against eachother. Such a good show!

@junkfish2007 there's symbolic emphasis involved with the intro. I can say thing about the emphasis on Rick and Lori. But for Shane, the frame glass is shattered, but the picture still hangs on the wall, perhaps to show that whilst everything around him has gone bacon sausage, he still holds a position of authority amongst his fellow survivors.

But this time the picture appears to be on the floor with stones and dirt covering it, perhaps to show that the character of Lori is broken, believing that her husband had died in hospital during the zombie outbreak and that her old life is no longer more than a memory.

It's splattered with blood and dirt, indicating that it may have been there for some time. Upon awakening after a lengthy period unconscious, he discovers the world has been turned upside down and infested with zombies. The design of the opening is suppose to remind us of how the world change these characters, even if we didn't know the before the apocalypse.

Interesting that Rick, Shane, and Lori are the only characters whose faces are visible in the opening credits. I wonder if that means the latter two will be around much longer than their comic counterparts, or if they'll kill them off and edit them out of the opening? The latest episode proves that they're not following the comics anymore.

@wicaco As a general rule not many TV shows kill off first billed cast members, unless the actor themselves chooses to leave. They've spent alot of time in season 2 fleshing out Shane's character. There are production issues with a small cast, the smaller a cast you have the longer and more intensive it becomes to film each episode.

@DocChristiansen youtube has programs that scan what you upload for copyrighted content. if you change the pace of a song, or mirror the image of a video clip backwards, the programs have trouble catching it. so that's what some people try to do so that they can get it online.

@bombkirby I assure you it's because of the programming. I've had music not be viewable by the public when I loaded it because of copyright violation. There are tutorial videos on Youtube that explain the techniques of getting past the filter. Edited or not, this video contains enough copyrighted footage and music for the poster to be breaking the law. Don't get me wrong, I'd do the same thing he did if I wanted to put it on this website.
