7:38 Lame boring girl doesn't seem to care that Lynyrd Skynyrd is performing right in front of her or that the lead singer will die in three months. She herself would later die alone and unloved, having only found comfort in her eccentric obsession with ceramic dolls during life.
when we put TwoDogs in the terre,,this is what hewanted to play at his death,,, he died of cancer ,,miss him and all my FREINDS in England ,,,,,,,xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxmiss you jamie,,miss ya mate miss
Just for kicks I watched Frampton's "Feel Like We Do" from this same day. Frampton closed the show that day, and I was amazed at the empty seats during his performance. No disrespect, I like Frampton, but it just goes to show the power of the original Skynyrd live! The crowd had nothing left to give after this performance!!
Can you imagine if they had "Bath Salts" back in the 60s and 70s? ha ha That stuff is 100 times stronger than coke and makes you 1000 times more paranoid than any drug they had back then. People would be wigging out back then.
If I had the ability to make a concert spoof, it would cut to a crowd shot of shirtless men with beer bellies straddling the shoulders of 90-pound women.
This is a beautiful video , thanks for sharing , my nephew at the age of 30 always told his Mom if something to him that he wanted this song played at his funeral , sad to say he was in a car wreck January 22 2012 , it took his life , and he got his wish she had this played at his funeral , this is a beautiful song , " If I Leave Here Tomorrow , Would You Still Think Of Me " was on his photo . This song will always take me back to Christopher Jennings Bragg ( WV) .
And in three shot months they were gone. Yet the music is timeless. Ronnie, Steve, Cassie, Allen, Leon, Billy you are missed so much. Lets not forget Dean Kilpatrick also. RIP to all, and i cant wait to see you play in the next life. Until then god rest your souls.
I was there! i seen many a show in my days workin for BGP! and i wasn't workin this time! I was part of that haND CLAPPIN FRENZY that u see in this vid! Frampton came on after, and i garauntee his was wishin he had played befo! peace love and music! jimbo
When my duaghter was little she thought Freebird was the natiolnal anthem. We use to stand and put our hands on our hearts when the song was being played.
@joekunzler LOL My dad did that with Sweet Home Alabama. Still today when it comes on he's like, "Take your hats off, boys, the National Anthem's playin'."
And the horrible thing was in less than 4 months after this show, Ronnie Van Zant, Steve and Cassie Gaines would be gone and Allen Collins never recovered psychologically from the crash. You can only wonder "what if" because the band was just really hitting it's stride with the addition of Gaines. Fly on and fly high Free Bird.
If i could go back in time... Fuck the peak of the Roman Empire, fuck Ancient Egypt, even the creation of the fucking universe... I'd be there, buzzed as hell.

Any real Lynyrd fan has heard of the movie "Freebird the movie". It's an almost 2 and a half hour long movie about this band that as released in 1996.
It contains mostly concert footage with some documentary elements and comments from surviving band members.
And for the first time ever has it been uploaded on YT in one piece.
Follow the link in the annotation to watch this movie.
