There are many renditions of so many songs. How many artists do you think sang Unchained Melody? People are entitled to have a preference of which rendition they like. No-one is right..no-one is wrong. I would think the people who actually wrote the original songs would feel honored that they were remade..even years later..to keep their music known for future generations to come.
Ok listen: The Bangles did not "copy" Simon and Garfunkel. They are not evil copycats. The Bangles COVERED Simon and Garfunkel. LEGALLY. Besides, they got on the top ten list of covered songs. The Bangles appreciate Simon and Garfunkel, they dont just copy their work. The original is good, yet the Bangles version is also good. So please stop insulting the bangles for covering this great song.
"Bangle's rendition is better, sorry, but that is a fact!"
no this is not a "fact' as you put it, it is an opinion, Please write an essay of 2,000 words on the difference between fact and opinion, then perhaps you'll find some respect
we have had so many bad fashions return ,, when will the the flower power love scene return long hair , peace to all icant wait so come on dudes lets start the revolution !!!!!
Bangles rendition is better??? I am sorry but Simon & Garfunkel are the original writers of this song and they are the best! The Bangles are copycats and that is a fact....get a life, every one in Hollywood and many in the music scene are copying the sounds and ideas from the past,
@jamesdwhitejr I agree with you. At one point in the mid-1980s, I pointed out to an older friend of mine that several cover versions of 1960s hits were being issued on CDs that younger kids thought were fresh songs. It was disgusting when you began counting the cover versions during that time.
@hobokenplayboy ya, i know what you mean, i hate to see great tunes from MY youth being remade, however, classics like this would be unknown to me if it hadn't been for those cover versions in the 80's when i grew up.. like Tainted Love by Gloria Jones or Always Something There... by Sandie Shaw. I was blown away when i discovered that Take Me in Your Arms by the the Doobie Bros. was a remake.
You have no idea how grateful I am to you for uploading this! Thank you! :)

was never a fan of this song but on their Live from NY 1967 album it sounds great as an acoustic rendition.
