Personally, I think it is very enjoyable. But don't be expecting a game like Pokemon Diamond or something like that, because it is very different. If you've played the first one, it is similar, just quite a bit longer (which IMO is a good thing) and with a couple of new and cool features.

Lol, just make quick circles when he is not attacking. Unlike other pokemon, he doesn't warn you when he attacks with a !. He pulls his neck back. So, you have to look out for that. After you did like one half or three quarters damage to him, he starts only using the shield. Then it is very easy. Just keep making big (this is important, as the shield gets bigger) circles around the shield.

I think my styler level is like 18. I just beat Drapion (Mission 8 I think).

For partner Pokémon I have so far gotten:

Munchlax, Kricketot, Cranidos, Turtwig and Croagung. My favourites of those for now are Croagunk and Cranidos.

OK I'll try to get there on my Emulator.

I also bought the game for my DS and there I beat Rampardos without much difficulty or losing health. It is easy if when he is dropping stones you make 1 (!) very quick circle as soon as it smashes. Then wait for the next one to drop and make another circle etc.

When he isn't dropping stones you have to make very quick circles around him.

Mawile is helpful if you want to use a Pokéassist. It also takes practice to make good circles.
