There are 2 mistakes in the lyrics. The first time It says 'Your promise, is broken! I drank your sacred water. My mission, is holy!' There should be a 'I'm Back.' On the end of it.

Also, the second time it says 'My father... His duty... ETC' There is an 'Or is it?' on the end that isn't in the song.

Just thought I'd point that out :D

@jak795 'Cause the combat is too action-oriented compared to the previous games, the plot's too similar to SH2, and it uses violence and gore to get scares instead of atmosphere and suspense.

As a game it's really good; as a Silent Hill game, not so much.

@XMasterZing: Personally I thought the game was nice, the only similarities between this and 2 was the fact that Alex had previously killed Josh, but there's more to Alex's story than just that SH2 similarity. The combat was better and wasn't as stale as the other games (I'm sorry but any normal human being can do more with a pipe than any of these characters) and many SH games have relied on gore, the first and 4th being examples.

I hated the game for the first half or so. The story doesn't really pick up and it feels like your generic SH nightmare. The locations are more linear than classic SH, they're shorter and less exploration-heavy. There's more focus on combat, but the new combat system is pretty bad and can get annoying if you die repeatedly.

HOWEVER, after playing it to the end, I really enjoyed it. The story is pretty good and the atmosphere is fantastic.

I'm on my second playthrough now and I'm picking up a lot of really subtle references that I completely missed the first time through (not knowing the real story, of course). It's unfortunate that the controls are so wooden because the story and environments clearly had a lot of thought put into it. I'd say it's the opposite of what XMasterZing said, it's a flawed game but a good SH experience. But, to each his own :)

I love how everything tied in together in the end. Everything that seemed like just another random occurrence to never be explained is later explained. I especially loved getting the Hospital ending, it's amazing, then I replayed the game and it got me thinking. Overall I think this game was great, and it got way too much hate. I think people didn't give it a chance, and that was the biggest problem. "Wahh wahhh not made by Japanese wahhh wahhh" was the culprit I think.

i just beat the game not 30 minuets ago. This is my favorite game of all time. very well done. The soundtrack i immaculately beautiful. The story line so nerve wrecking and suspenseful. and the art of the game eye tearing. i give it a five out of five. i would recommend this game to all silent hill fans and newbies.

This game was ok for a silent hill game, but nothing out of the ordinary compared to silent hill 2. The game was pretty good, but the A.I. was pretty stupid and slow witted. Couple of glitches as well. I respect you're 5/5 but i have to give it an average score of 3/5.

In my opinion, this was one of the best Silent Hill games. There was one part in one of the buildings that made me scream out loud. I thought Pyramid Head was gonna cut me open and spew my shredded guts all over the place. >__>
