I do not think that saying John Lennon was a "chauvinist pig" is badmouthing the man. By all accounts, he was not the most respectful bloke : the way he treated his first wife was downright despicable and his behaviour towards other women was less than lustrous. His album is so good that you're the only one who's heard of it. Either you're Sean Lennon using an alias, or you're Yoko Ono using an alias, which is even worse.
It's interesting that both of Lennon's kids have attempted to be "musicians," yet neither have talent. That's something both half-brothers have in common. The thing about Sean is, that having inherited his old man's money, Sean has time to pursue a hobby in music. Why doesn't he pursue an easier pastime like stamp collecting.

Sean is a self made musician, something very difficult to do with a huge last name of his. He is a very talented multi-instrumentalist... If you think stamp collecting is fun well good for you, Sean is fine in the music world

While I'm not familiar with Friendly Fire, I've heard enough of him. While Sean may be a "self made millionaire," one of the worst experiences I had was watching Sean perfroming Beatles songs with Claption, Harrison, and others. I've played the guitar, I've played the clarinet, but I don't have Slow Hand's phone number. So much for "selfmade."

@charlatankarateka uhhh, most of the videos I have seen of Sean on youtube are him peforming, guess what, BEATLES' songs, so i wouldn't necessarily call that "his own style of music." Julian on the other hand at least has done stuff that in no way sounds anything like the type of music his father did. his voice sounds amazingly like his dad's at times though, which he can not help.

@MrDukemeister @MrDukemeister have to disagree with you there. I haven't heard much of sean's stuff, so I can't really comment on that (I don't like his girly, nasely, whiny voice at all though). I do like quite a bit of julian's music though. not as good as his father's obviously, but not bad at all. "saltwater" in particular is pretty good. even my daughter likes that one, and she usually only listens to stuff like green day. she is also a huge john lennon fan though.

@shielakay If your dad is John Lennon, why put yourself up to the comparison? Sean definately has enough money to pursue a lot of things (go to med school and save African children; go to law school and work pro bono getting innocent people out of jail). I'm not sure how much money Julian got because he was screwed around, but I'm sure he's doing better than most. I'm not saying that neither of them should have picked up a guitar, but do it for fun. Play in bars.
