The tasha conclusion was much more fitting than skin of evil. The whole Sela thing was silly and to drag the thing out and for picard to feel guilt and the Guinan input made me dread any new Romulan themed episodes..It wasnt until DS9 when Romulans regained their respect again.
The first-last and only appearance of the Enterprise C! I would love to know more about the history of Enterprise C but this continuity no longer exists so that's impossible
There were books written about what happened to it afterwards.
Tasha Yar survived the attack, and was taken prisoner by Romulans. She was forced to become a consort to a Romulan, and her daughter later shows up in an episode of The Next Generation. Fully aware of her history, and where her mother was from. It's also explained, I believe, in a behind the scenes thing on Nemesis, that she (her daughter) became a part of the Romulan senate eventually, but it was dropped.
Tasha Yar....Sometimes I wonder what would have happend if she survived season 1. She could have been in Star Trek Nemesis. But Denise Crosby had to be a jerk.
@jahoodunrama I think she wanted out to pursue a "Better" Acting career. Ive only seen her in things like Law and order as a guest star. And on the Drew Carrey show as a lesbian cop. But on the bright side she did have an okay role on The Flash once even though she was trying to be a jerk in that one.
Denise Crosby thought the writing of the 1st Season TNG was crud, and she wanted out. Fact is she was right. Some of those 1st season eps are cringe worthy in their incompetence (we're looking at you Angel One). She couldnt have known that things were going to get better. Ironically after Roddenberry let other people do the writing.
@SpreadingtheMuse ah, shame she didnt stick with it. and i agree, the first season is pretty horrible. so is most of season 2, to be honest. but it does, like you say, get much better later on.
She didn't want out, she wanted more screen time. At a convention they were doing a Q&A panel, and Jonathan Frakes kept making jokes about how she got let go. How she demanded more screen time, or she was gone. And "that ended real good for you, didn't it?"
It eventually pissed her off, and she walked off stage.
Well its the same story from two different angles. She wanted out because she didnt get enough screentime. I'm remember an interview she gave where she said if they had given her more personal moments like her talk with Worf in the beginning of "Skin of Evil" that she never would have wanted to leave.
Now that you mention it, I remember that quote, too.
The video where Jonathan Frakes keeps ribbing her is on here. He pissed her off so bad she went off stage, and behind the stage. Chasing after her, I don't know if he tried apologizing, but he eventually called for Marina Sirtis, joking they needed her "counselling", and in the video, looked liked it ended the Q&A.
@maxcardun She did jump the gun a little bit. Her character was crap, but then again almost all of them were in the first season. They needed some shakedown time. Her back story is way more interesting than anything she did on the show.
Then again, I grew up respecting Worf's authority.

these TNG trailers are awful.. thank god we didnt have them in the UK... they give away all the spoilers and are very cheesy.

This is why I try to avoid episode trailers. They gave away half the surprises on the show.
