  • Augh, I tried listening through at least halfway, and I can't. I just. Augh. People like you make me kind of ashamed to be a nerd.

  • Haha, I'd hate to watch a movie with you guys.

  • On the contrary, I think that coming up with the idea of 'jumping on a dragon' doesn't contradict Hermione's character at all One of the things you have to keep in mind about Hermione is that she may be anxious and brainy, but she is extremely resourceful Ex: SHE is the one who decides to start the D.A., she comes up with the idea to lure Umbridge into the forest. At core she is very daring and has a way of coming up with solutions to problems that work, no matter how crazy they are.

  • Yes, the audience here in Finland also laughed out loud at Mrs Weasley's line! XD

  • "ZOMG Pleaaaasseee tell me that Harry scratches his butt from page 367 on the 5th sentence!"

  • did crabe or goyle die cause one of them died in in the book

  • @MrTLR92 Crabbe did but in the movie Goyle dies.

  • theres a lot of footage that was not there when this played. if this pre screening was 2 hours then the final film may be about 2 hours and 20 minutes or more.

  • @jasonmg99 the final film will be 2 hours and 10 minutes

  • this review was so negative....they go by the books so much.....the movies are adaptations not complete translations.

  • The one who attended test-screening is speaking like Quirrel.

  • When is a site that has people who have been to the previews going to address and detail what the hell is going on in the Voldemort/Harry bondage scene ("Why do you live?")? Everytime a podcast happens it's skimmed over, why (is it that bad?!)? And now in the new trailer we see Voldemort actually prepare his material strip thingies to wrap around Harry and still it's ignored? Someone put us out of our misery, why does Voldemort tie him up?!!

  • thank you for this!!

  • I cant wait until Prince's tale

  • u see dumbledores dead body too in HBP and DH Part 1

  • Lets Hope this beats Twlight at the MTv movie awards next year Twlight sucks

  • The Ron/Hermione kiss sounds really stupid.

  • what about the scene when voldemort arrives at malfoy manor and punishes Bellatrix and the malfoys?

  • Question: Did anyone other than Al and Harry speak during the epilogue?

  • @reallygoodauthor7 Hermione talked with her daughter and Ron spoke to Hermione, when Ginny and Harry were approaching at King's Cross. :)

  • Heyy, this was really fun to listen to, you guys chatting about this topic and to hear all these news about the upcoming movie. Thank you, It made my evening. : )

  • PLEASEEEEE PLEAAASEEE PLEASEEEEEE tell me Remus goes to Shell Cottage to announce Teddies birth!! :O i was gutted when he didn't go to Grimauld Place in Part 1!! I CANT WAIIT eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh

  • @ImGunnaMakeMeAButteh Nope, we will never know anything about teddy in the movies :(

  • @ImGunnaMakeMeAButteh apparently they mention it in the ressurection stone scene, Harry says "I didn't want you to die, you were a father"

  • whats first it the wb logo or the recap with voldemort after the conversation dose it go to hogwarts with snape like you said or dose it stay at shell cottage

  • @baldymort10 I'll help you.

  • It's a test screening, a rough guide, they won't have the final product untill around a month before the release. It's hard to judge anything without even a trailer. They could change it dramatically if they wanted too, that's what the TEST screening was for.

  • If the ending was done like the book it would be the most anticlimatic moment in film history.... all these years and the audience are going to watch a battle for 4 seconds and BAM end? Is that what people expect?

  • It's a test screening for crying out loud, it is not the finished product, why can't people see how this will not be the final product. I can't wait to see it no matter what changes. As long as the story is the same, I will be fine.

  • Everyone will complain about something in the final film, simply cus its the last film, there are so many things people wanna see, but probably wont be included. But from what iv heard hopefully this film wont be an absoloute flop lol.

  • you guys did not talk about the room or requierements, giants, spiders, theastrals battle scenes

  • Thank-you!! but this girl keeps like talking over this guy. STOPPP

  • well i'm disappointed and excited about this all at once! -confusion-

  • This blows... so much is changed....

  • Does anyone know if Grawp, the centaurs, the thestrals or Buckbeak are in the final battle?

  • @samsonite122 I just listened to Mugglecast and they confirmed that those creatures will not be in the battle.

  • I am glad I listened to this before seeing the film so I won't be so colossally disappointed.

Hopefully it will be a good movie because it sure isn't going to be the story I know.

  • I'm...crying.

  • NO TEDDY??/

    but..but..

  • What? Ron had to cry? Is Rupert Grint capable of such emotion?

  • THIS GUY HAVE A BIG SPEECH PROBLEM>>>> KINGS SPEECH ACTOR EHH???

  • Comment removed

  • jeez GET OVER IT. The movie buisness is completely different. obviously Jk rowling has NO problem with the changes so NIETHER should you, she is the author and creator of the book.

  • @LILJOKERDOTCOM As someone who has spent a bit of time on a film set, you would be surprised how often the script changes without consulting the writer.

  • "a satisfied murmur" for the KISS. Are you kidding me?????

  • @zentropy78 ........ it's a kiss, what the hell were you expecting? People kiss in movies all the time.

  • @stalksthemoon no dude. this isn't like other kisses. how many other kisses do you know of that had 10 years and 8 movies of of build up? it's unprecedented and cannot be compared to anything else!! what the HELL are you thinking?

  • movie buisness book buisness completely different. The movie will be GREAT.

  • this really just makes me hate warner brothers. i mean: SPOILER ALERT! no confrontation between harry and voldemort? no fred's death? harry throwing the two of them off a cliff? a thousand death eaters? WHAT THE HELL? I guess I'll just have to calm myself before the movie comes out. at least i know now so i won't have to get on a plane and kill steve kloves in july.

  • You guys complain a lot...

  • Comment removed

  • @XxMadAboutPotterxX It's just a test screening.

  • Can you please tell if there will be any scenes with Ginny????

Any moments with Ginny and Harry???????

Will there be Ginny as mother with Harry as a father in the epilogue??????

  • Hey is this going to be a PotterCast soon....?

  • I'm honestly getting teary-eyed just hearing you guys talke about the Lupins & Fred.

  • Low Expectations FTW!

  • just got done watching the whole thing... and I am scared for the harry potter movie :( Sorry to say. But I was hoping to God that it would be a good adaption... but it seems like it is slightly lacking, which makes me upset.

  • That's the sad thing about hollywood: it's like they have thier set way of doing things and they just don't know how to go outside the box--even with all that, though, I'm sure the film will still be great.

"She's not a vampire; this isn't Buffy." Well said.

  • This makes me upset. FRED'S DEATH HAS TO BE THERE!!!!!!!! meh. ;(

  • That women commentating so frickin annoying to listen to.

  • @ghetto33jen Omg I completely agree!

  • Boo, the woman has not seen it and shes making judgments on some purists view. Change is neccessay to make it cinematic, it is the end, that needs to be shown. You have the book, you have the film, both compliment eachother in their mediums.

  • @PlausiblePictures Yet it is JK Rowling's masterpiece and the book that has captured a generation for very specific reasons, not some petty, typical action film.

  • @Ravenclaw797 Erm have you seen the film to base such a view?

  • @PlausiblePictures Of course not, but the other films have left out significant moments from the books and instead made changes in order to make the movies more "cinematic." This frankly ruins the movies instead of enhancing them, and has happened way too many times. However, both of us should probably reserve judgment of DH2 in particular until we have both seen it. But the past has proved that making the movies "cinematic" ruins Jo's amazing tales.

  • @Ravenclaw797 Yep, god forbid they make a MOVIE cinematic, I'm sorry but if they had done the final duel between Voldy and Harry just like the book, it would've been anti climatic as hell. Hell, I think even in the book it was anti climatic as hell. I for one am glad they're actually making it a fight.

  • @stalksthemoon Thank You! im so sick of hearing about people complain about them change it to make it more of an actual fight.

  • @PlausiblePictures I'm a lot more lenient when it comes to the movies, because I don't think I would have ever read the books if my mom hadn't brought Sorcerer's Stone home on DVD from Blockbuster way back in 2002, when I was 8! I try to appreciate them separately, which is pretty much what you have to do in order to keep sane!

  • @PlausiblePictures Um...'that woman' is Melissa Anelli! Try Googling her and learn a thing or two about who she is before you open your mouth. Unreal how utterly clueless you are. My god!

  • I'm crossing my fingers for a TV show in 20 years in which 1 book=1 season and an episode can be every few chapters and EVERYTHING CAN BE INCLUDED.

  • By altering the Voldemort and Harry scenes they are providing more action for the screen, but they're essentially insulting the characters' intelligence and our own.

  • DH1 was great and gave me high hopes for DH2. I am so glad I watched this so I'll be prepared and able to enjoy the rest of the movie (maybe). Still, I'm pretty disappointed with what I heard, and I agree with all of what John and Melissa were saying about the final confrontation. Too Hollywood-esque. I thought Jo had some say in these final movies...how could she let this happen?

  • I'm actually very very very frustrated that they altered the Harry/Voldemort scenes. Harry would never run through Hogwarts with Voldemort knowing either of them could die without the "last" horcrux being destroyed, therefore making the whole journey pointless. I agree with Melissa, they are NOT Buffy vampires, they shouldn't dissolve into nothing-ness when they die. Lame. And Ron doesn't speak in the epilogue? Why? Sigh. I guess I'll take it for what it is, but why alter something so crucial...

  • I don't want to watch this, but I can't turn it off...

  • John's voice was not on the iTunes video. I was so confused because they just kept pausing and I thought they were reading a chat or something, therefore, I was jealous I wasn't in it. Run on sentence, I know.

  • I think cutting Fred's death is a big mistake. I also personally think that they had a good opportunity to give Lupin and Tonks their own "outro", if only a brief one, like they did with Hedwig. Even so, I can forgive leaving it like the book. Did they omit Dumbledore's story or does Aberforth tell it when speaking to Harry? I'm also kind of sad that Sprout and Flitwick weren't assisting in the sacking of Snape, but I'm sure Maggie Smith's badassery will be epic enough.

  • @RyuuMakato42 The Prince's Tale sounds amazing as well! I really think Edward should try and put a list of all the people/creatures from the other movies make an appearance in the battle. Grawp? Fang? Kreacher and the house elves? Buckbeak? Which Hogwarts students? Teachers? etc.

I'm also kind of sad that they excluded Narcissa asking Harry if Draco is okay, but I suppose it's forgivable too. Deleted scene maybe?

  • I think its amaizing how they changed the battle Voldermort vs Harry Potter: Its seems so cool when Voldermort is hunting Harry in Hogwarts IT SEEMS SO AWESOME, and then when they are in the top of the tower Harry throws Voldermort and him self from the tower and they are fighting while they are faling.

  • I thought I wanted spoilers.. But I can't. I have been waiting for this movie for so many years. I have to get the full experience.

  • @iaMyla books???

  • @TomAnkcorn I mean about how the movie is.. Of course I know the storyline! I don't want spoilers on how hey did things in the movie... I'm subscribed to pottercast, of course I have read the books.

  • @iaMyla you would be surprised :s

i know diehard harry potter fans who havent read the books

  • @TomAnkcorn How are they die hard harry potter fans when they haven't read harry potter? Watching the movies is just not enough.. at all o.O It's like saying you love playing games, but have only watched other people play them. ( eh kinda... Didn't really figure out anything good.. just roll with it xD)

Tell them to get their shit together and read the books! xD

  • OMG! ITS GOING TO BE SO COOL, Thanks for telling whats happen ( I mean it in a nice way). But you guys who did this video are saying that there are much deatheaters and thats bad, BUT I THINK ITS AWESOME. AND THAT SEAN WHEN VOLDERMORT AND HARRY POTTER ARE FALLING OF THE TOWER; ITS SO FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

  • "What? 'We should end this the way that we began it. Together' "?

    "How romantic."

    LMAO

  • WTHHP?! Okay I get Voldemort dissolving when he dies because he is inhuman... But Bellatrix? Unless Jo is hiding from us that Bellatrix created a horcrux and is intentionally leaving the films open for her return (which I highly doubt) then I don't get why she dissolves!

  • Sounds good to me! I was a movie fan first and I was able to follow the story well. Now that I read the whole series last summer, I know even more. I know that this movie is going to be great and l will be sad when it ends.

  • Haha, Deathly Hallows..... ON ICE! (:

  • Thanks so much for this. I truly was expecting a close-to-book film after DH1. I'm gad to have been forewarned. Now I'll be able to enjoy it by not expecting too much. ...but still... No Fred death scene? Harry/Voldy chase scene?.... Ridikulus....

  • The disolving effect for death might be ok, I mean I think they are probably just trying to eliminate any sympathy the audience could have for Voldemort. I mean he is unhuman, maybe they were just trying to show that when you are so far from human you have no human death.

  • It sounds good but im going to miss the parts that arent going to be in there. But I have to rewatch it to get it whole. No Ginny/Cho showdown and no Harry running to Ginny after she almost gets killed? I have more questions but i cant ask them all.

  • I want spoilers, I want to know, I want to watch the movie NOW. Besides, we already know what happens, we've read the book!...right?

  • I am astonished.

  • AHHH SPOILERS!

    GO BACK GO BAAAACK!

  • thanks!

  • Oh my gosh... I can't watch this. Don't want my childhood to come crashing down around me. I know I sound melodramatic, but I've been a fan for nearly 10 years (come this fall) and in July, I'll be an emotional wreck when the film arrives.

  • Im okay with watching this cuz ive read the book...twice.

  • First :) I almost don't wanna watch this cuz I want the movie to be a surprise!!
