KIA factory is releasing a line of performance parts AND in the recent "postcard" survey, they asked if I'd be interested in a turbo, a 200HP or 300HP engine, and a 300HP AWD!

Still love my KIA, its a growing community already. My whole life I've fought buying "foreign" (designed and engineered in the USA, sold by Americans, serviced by Americans, and the new SUV will be built in Atlanta!) and never considered buying a new car!

The new 2011 Sorento is able to stream music through Bluetooth, so no need for the cable or a flash drive. I wish they would have released that for the Soul and Forte... I can't wait to see a few performance parts! I heard a few month ago that they were going to release a Supercharger that IF installed by a Kia Tech it wouldn't affect warranty!

@CalicoatMaker Kia has begun investing a bit in the US but don't kid yourself here. The Forte is built in Korea, designed by a German, engineered by Koreans. You did give the dealership owner and the salesman some $ but that's about all. Most of the profit is going directly to korea for the forte

Wow KIA is doing a big 1 up with the standard bluetooth on the Scion brand with the Forte and Soul.

If you have a door or trunk open and hit the LOCK remote, the car locks the doors AFTER you close them! I love that! You can also prevent the dome lights from coming on when you shut off the car or open the door (I HATE lights in my face)

The EX is cheap, sedan even cheaper, but trust me you'll LOVE the SX and its not that much more. I hated the cloth seats but the leather was more comfortable.

I own a blck 6-speed manual 173hp (2.4L). All I did was put in a K&N air filter, wow!

6-speed fun to drive, but I should have got the manual & put in a slightly higher stall speed. You have to put in the clutch SOONER because of an inertia problem with the heavy crank pulley...but a 1-lb aftermarket pulley fixes it totally AND adds a hella lot of power (kiaforteforum users did this) MANY aftermarket parts AND KIA is releasing racing parts too in 2010!!!

This KILLS the Honda! Drive one today!

I haven't driven a KOUP SX 6-speed yet but I would imagine that the Koup and Sedan SX share the same manual transmission. It was not too fun to drive in Downtown Portland on wet roads because of this Clutch issue. Let it out too early and it dies let it out too high and the tires spin, then traction control kicks on... Really fun on the highway though! I am glad that Kia is finally stepping up their aftermarket support. These cars have A LOT of potential.

The silver pieces are removable for paint!!! You could color match them to the paint color or match them to the other black on the wheels. Nice option!

Why aren't any of the Kia dealerships getting the 2.4's?

I really like the look of this car on paper and the reviews, but I want to test drive them both. I haven't had a chance to test drive either yet. I'm probably going to buy a car sometime in March... do you think my local Kia dealerships will get any of the 2.4 automatics in by then for people to look at, on the lot and test drive?

YES! They should definitely have them by then. We have 2 SX models with the 2.4L and the Automatic right now. Portland is one of the biggest markets for Kias at this time, its actually the only area where Kia out-sells Hyundai, so they tend to send more cars here. I would HOPE that they have them both when you are ready to purchase. Where are you from?

I live in Richmond Virgina. :) We have several dealerships here who are usually pretty well stocked... but for some reason, I don't see many dealerships of any make with any decent sport trims on the lots. The only place I see who gets those is Carmax, and they always want 6k or more than they're worth... and they still manage to sell through them.

Supply and demand I guess. If they are the only one with the supply they can demand more profit. When you go to buy one just say that you already talked to ___ (their competitor) and tell them they offered $200 over invoice...

hey man great walkaround, i had a question does the speakers that light up with the beats come in the EX auto or is it only for the SX and what about the rims, are the ones shown in the commercials only in the SX? Im from Canada so it might be different or something

The rims on this one are the standard EX wheels. There are some silver/black wheels that come on the SX.

The speakers don't light up, yet. I am thinking that they will be an upgraded audio package in a few months.

Can't post a link in here but if you run a Google search for "2010 Koup SX Wheels" it should show them to you... PS the silver part of the wheels are plastic and removable!!! We are going to have those pieces painted black on one of ours! It should look awesome.

thx dude. Also when i looked at his car, it has lots of space in the trunk. So i can put a big subwoofer=) + it has lots of space in the back!!! which is crazy ! because its a koup ( u know what i mean). When i put my seat all the way, there is sill lots of place for the passenger behind driver.

Yes PLENTY of room for a sub or two. 2 12s easy! And yes they designed the car very well, leg room is great! There is more room in the back of this coupe than the Rio sedan!

For a factory system its pretty strong, there could be some improvement but overall its pretty good. An upgraded audio system is on its way as an option, should add a subwoofer.

Nice choice, for the price the Forte is the best out there. You can't touch a nice Civic for that kinda money. The VW is probably too much money as well.

Engine sounds good, needs a free'er flowing exhaust. 156 HP on the EX and 173 HP on the SX. It's quick!

Does the car have bodyside molding, and if not, is it a regularly stocked dealer installed option?

I did not see a temp guage on the dashboard. does it have one?

This one does not have the bodyside moldings. It hasn't been released to us yet. There is a full lip kit, lowering springs and possibly a supercharger kit on its way. It doesn't have a Temperature Gauge, there is a digital screen built into the dash that you can get all kinds of info from. Temp, Instant MPG, Avg. MPG and so on.

I bought one about a month ago, Very awesome interior and looks great! Only one downside, and thats the transmissions. I have a 4 speed auto and it has trouble deciding what gear it wants to be in. Also you have to press way to far down to get it to downshift. To remedy this, I just use the Steptronic controls on the shifter. Works waaaay better when your controling the shifts. I have heard a rumor that they may have a reprogram of the throttle control AND the electronic Automatic.

I can't confirm or deny the reprogramming or electronic shifting. I know on these transmissions that they actually learn how you drive to try and get you better mileage. It usually takes about 1000 miles or so for it to be "broken in" and learned your style. If you drive differently everytime you get in, it will probably have trouble.
