I would have liked that issue to be explored a bit more, since the question regarding executive orders, as refined by Ron Paul, was whether they should ever be used to legislate. If Rick Perry even believes that they shouldn't, or if he believes that Obamacare is an exception, that should have been explored.

If the order was, "We, the executive branch, refuse to execute this law because we feel it's unconstitutional," then that is an appropriate use of an order. It the order was, "that law is no longer law, and indeed we're chaning it and implementing this new legal language we made up..." then that would be a misuse and unconstitutional.

So what is the message here? Insurance companies should be allowed to exclude customers based on a pre-existing conditions, but it is flat out wrong for Rick Perry receiving a bribe from big pharma. I must say, although I am no fan of Bachmann or Santorum, it's nice to see even them blindsiding Rick Perry for his Gardasil Executive Order. Ron Paul didn't even have to mention it. And congrats to Ron Paul for defining the legal issues of Executive orders, how they should never be used to legislate, it's kind of sad no one else had anything to say on that level, but I guess that's another reason why it's Ron Paul or no one else.

@Theospeak1 True, Rick Perry did admit it was a mistake, which was a big deal. However, he sort of alluded to the idea that he would happily use executive orders to dismantle Obamacare. I would have liked that issue to be explored a bit more, since the question regarding executive orders, as refined by Ron Paul, was whether they should ever be used to legislate. If Rick Perry even believes that they shouldn't, or if he believes that Obamacare is an exception, that should have been explored.

@erentheca Those are both awesome points. It would depend on how Perry went about the executive order. If the order was, "We, the executive branch, refuse to execute this law because we feel it's unconstitutional," then that is an appropriate use of an order. It the order was, "that law is no longer law, and indeed we're chaning it and implementing this new legal language we made up..." then that would be a misuse and unconstitutional.

Ron Paul made it a specific point to address the use of an executive order by citing the example of troop movements. That comment alone leads me to believe that he fully intends to bring the troops home immediately should he become president. It's not lip service people. Check his record. You may not agree with him on everything. I don't either. But he's not pandering. He's the real deal. If your concerns are the economy and foreign policy, both of which effect each other, he's the guy for you.

At this point fertilization or conception takes place wich ever you prefer they are the same thing. The fertilized egg at this point has a genetic signature different from every human on earth....Life. The morning after pill will prevent this egg from attaching to the wall of the uterus.
