I moved out of the US because I did not like living in a police state. What you describe is not what I am seeing on the video. I believe the video, not police reports which they write up to protect their own sorry asses.
I saw him writing so at most he had a pen, certainly no screwdriver, and he acted peacefully, actually opening the door for the pigs. It was the cops who acted aggressively and completely out of line. I have no respect for them.

He also reached repeatedly for the cop's utility belt. He grasped the baton of one officer and was met with protocol response.
Also not mentioned is the FACT that he was let out of jail by mistake with a $50,000 warrant and attempting to gather his property at the evidence room.
He did not comply with surrendering his hands until the end. Once cuffed, it's over.
Who in hell hired these cops in Seattle thugs with badges. Maybe they should of hired a real man and not these fat low self esteem dorks who get drunk from there authority. What ever happened to talking to a suspect first.
