  • Can you explain what you did to practice the chords when you were younger ? (the process with in those 6 hours)

  • Sick

  • Nice tutorial Jamal.That is pretty much how I like to find my chords

  • could you make this easier for beginners, like i just touched a piano for the first time yesterday beginner

  • @mermaidmelodylilnike It is for beginners. Please visit the website in the link and you will see.

  • Love those licks.

  • Nice! BTW – you can learn to play this song in half the time with new gadget that reads MIDI files.

    Google “Gizmag and PianoMaestro”

  • Hello! I wonder what is the name of this song and artist in this release that vcoê is playing there. Since I am already very grateful.

  • one question..for example u have a bass note G,how would u know wat notes to hold with ur right hand to make a nice chord to it..apart from the Gmaj triad.???

  • my dream is to face a keyboard like you.

  • "What is even my approach to begin to do this?"--GospelMusicians (from the video)

    How I approach learning chord progressions on a piece of music that is muddled in the mix?

    I always think chord/ bass. If there isn't a discernible bass line. I play what is implied by the chord...that usually dictates the bass.

    Secondly, a good tip of gospel musicians with PCs in their setup. Have some audio editing software like Sony SoundForge. That has a really good looping function. You can focus on section.

  • Those chords I figured out were from the jazz piano break from the Martha Munizzi

    "Jesus Is The Best Thing" break in the middle.

  • "..to me."

    Chord: Db

    Bass: Db

  • "that ever happened..."

    Chords (pivots): from Fsus4 =>Gb => Fsus4

    Bass (pivots) from F, G , F

    then,

    Chords: Bsus4, Csus4, Dbsus4

    Bass: E, F, Gb

  • @indyenna

    *CORRECTED*

    Chords (pivots): from Fsus4 =>Gb => Fsus4

    Bass (pivots) from F, Gb , F

    then,

    Chords: Bsus4, Csus4, Dbsus4

    Bass: E, F, Gb

  • @indyenna What the heck? If you where try'in to show everybody that you went to school for music , mission accomplished...lol. But for the rest of use who didn't go to school we need stuff broken down for real like Aflat Eflat / A Csharp Eflat Aflat. Could you type thoughs chords or make a video mr. piano genus lol.... Nah really can you please

  • @ogtonyp85

    I didn't go to Julliard. I am not a piano genius. I don't have a DVD/CD course on phat neo-soul gospel voicings. I don't have a patent-pending DVD/ book set with Bible o' cards to mix and match to play your own chord progressions.

    I think that it is funny that gospel music has become so sophisticated that people HAVE to buy courses on how to play the form. People buy all this sophisticated stuff without understanding. PEOPLE DO NOT UNDERSTAND "WHY SHOULD I PLAY THESE JAZZ CHORDS?"

    @ogtonyp85

    I did type those chords. I gave you the bass notes. I even wrote the lyrics down for you so you could follow

    the tune. If you have to have a video, you definately do NOT know your instrument. You are just following the leader. Be your own lead.

  • @ogtonyp85 hey dont worry about it, just play for the Lord, that is the most important thing, that is the one thing you cannot learn from someone else. and just keep working on your music, you will get it eventually, like our man in the video is showing us, it is a lot of hard work and frustration and listening over and over, until you finally get the sound right. but like i say the devotion comes first, the music 2nd. believ me the Lord knows the desire of your heart, he knows the sound u love

  • "is the best thing..."

    CHORD: F+

    Bass descending: Eb C A

  • "Jesus...."

    CHORD: Ab sus4

    Bass notes: Db then Ab

  • don't title it learning difficult chords if you're not teaching anything.. SMH

  • but who's the artist of this version??
