i think by looking around at the mars vids ...there should be tones of GOLD..corse that is just me but by the looks it could be...a strong idea...soemone could become very...very...rich...but i wont be around to see it.... ;)
check out my profile on how to get thousands of dollars monthly for FREE, I mean free. You dont have to pay for anything and its not complicated at all. It just takes time
If the 100 richest people wanted to, they could set up a charitable trust, with the mission of colonizing Mars. As it is, they are only legally required to commit a 5% of the money in a charitable trust, while paying 0 taxes. All the benefits the technological benefits that would be reaped would surely be worth more than any charities they currently have going. Bill Gates for example spent billions of dollars on a mere 10 schools. Why not do something that will impact all of mankind instead?
i'd like to see some video game developers use this data and incorporate it in their level design. i can easily imagine stomping around out there in a mech.
@Agogaraxis It would be pretty darn hostile to do that. Mars' average temp is 50C less than Earth's. Also, Mars' atmospheric pressure is a fraction of Earths'... Mars' also doesn't have an upper atmosphere and magnetosphere like Earth to protect you from cosmic rays... I'm sure there are other issues as well.
atmospheric pressure is around 6.1/1000th terrestrial pressure, average temperature is -63 °C (-81 °F) [ with a maximum temperature of 20 °C (68 °F) and a minimum of -140 °C (-220 °F) ]
Agog: No, I belive the pressure is so low that you get bruises, your eyes will pop out (as in deap sea fish rapidly being hauled up with a fisher mans line) Apart from the biting cold of course :-)
No, you don't explode in vacuum. You'll just die from lack of oxygen quickly. In fact, a scientist survived an exposure to vacuum which lasted for few seconds during some test at NASA.
Absolutely breathtaking. If only we spent money on putting people on Mars than the current crap our febrile gov't is spending on. I expect China and India to one day shame the U.S. into reigniting a legitimate manned space exploration program.

@Agogaraxis no, it's waaaaaaay too cold on Mars. The average temperature there is -81F. It can get as warm as 68F and as cold as -220F.

yea, if you wanted your body to freeze so quickly that the pain you would feel would be ungoldy, sure.
TrollinTheWorld 1 year ago
@Agogaraxis no, due to the lack of pressure on the outside of your body, your skin would expand from the inner pressure and you would explode...lol

It looks like exagerated terrain... terrain features are likely 2x higher to make them look cooler... or more.
