Why is bullying framed as a gay rights issue? Kids aren't bullied because they're gay. They're bullied because other kids are bullies looking for targets. If we successfully stopped the anti-gay bullying, we would still have problems because kids would be bullied for being too fat, too short, wrong religion, there would always be something. The real issue is parents letting their children think it's okay to be bullies.

I have also worked with gays. I never found them to be offensive in any way whatsoever. In fact I enjoy being around them. They used to call cigarettes in England fags. I think some people are commenting based on this advert, rather than the bigger picture. Homophobia is a BIG problem in football. You don't see it in any other sport. It's not just "footie fans having a go at gay people" it's the fact that most of their abusive comments are homophobic, regardless of whether they shout it at a gay person or not. This sends out a very bad message to children and teenagers who are around them, and the comments are not necessary in the first place.
American's call it soccer because they call American Football "football", but English Football was started first in mid-19th century Britain, therefore that was called "football" before the American game.
Plus, American Football shouldn't really be called FOOTball considering the ball is carried for most of the game.

Also, football fans are mostly violent and are known to cause huge troubles and wreck half of the town after the game and lot of innocent people gets hurt during their violence crusade.
I think stuff like that should be solved first since you can't expect them to tolerate gay people since most of them are just going to use it as an excuse to beat someone up and actually don't care if that person is gay.
