  • Modestry prevented me from joining, but I was aweways interested, Paul Weller, yeah, Bradley Phucken Wiggins, I don' think so!!

  • hahahaha lol that skin shouting out east lond london lol

  • I went to the alldayers a Ilford Palais and they were brilliant - now Im a bearded biker - funny how things turn out.

  • Ah them days...to have em back...and that TV175 I let someone take out of the back garden in '86 for a fiver...

  • Good old days:)

  • We didn't wear helmets in the 60's !!!

  • at 0:36 it sounds the guy shouting in german "ey schlampe" = "oi, bitch" XD

  • I'd rather listen to that than some middle class punk shite. Yeah punk was sooo original. Even the name comes from the 60's All you lot were, were a means to make money for McClaren. The whole ethos was a great swindle, Blitz kids in binbags so fuck off.

  • @kaperclover

    @kingofpunk1977

You both need to grow up... arguing over Mod vs Punk in 2011? LOL... what next, beating each other silly with your walking sticks and zimmer frames? Chill out, grandads. Both genres gave a lot to music anyway, so let's leave it there shall we?

  • @GhibliFan1

Listen you silly little prick i'd still smash you all over the place.

  • @kaperclover

Course you would, grandad. Now go and get yourself a nice blanket and slippers, there's a good lad.

  • Kingofpunk? Kingofcunts more like

  • @kaperclover Your the fuckin cunt David Nevin??? If that is the sort of gay music you like you can fuck right off

  • Super Cool!!!!!!!! Is this available on DVD or Blu-ray yet????

  • All i can say was that i was born in ilford and by 82 had left school and was into heavy rock.

The places we had then ie The Green gate,Royal standard Green man and many more were like the Ilford palais, the place to be.

All my mates were mods which left me a bit out numbered but friendly rivalry is all that existed and we even visited each others venues just to see what it was all about.

Either im getting old or the magic of the early eighties has gone, thanks for posting this time capsule.

  • I don't understand people who take the time to watch Mod videos on youtube but apparently hate the style. Why waste your time? Why not watch Punk videos or Rockabilly videos if thats what you like? Instead you choose to spend time bullying.

  • is this Big Bob's video???

  • A Bunch o Teddy Boys Would a Cleaned your clock!!!!

  • Big revival that year,81-82,as i remember too well, music wasn`t as good as the punk music.Punk was new,it was bad shit and it wasn`t strictly about what you wear or ride about on.It was about anarchy yeeeah.Makes mods look fake and pointless.

  • MODS ARE SAFETY IN NUMBERS WANKERS WHO COULD NOT THINK FOR THEMSELVES!!!!!

  • @kingofpunk1977 Hi the comment you have made is not really that true. I have been a Mod since I was 11 in 1979 and have been running a martial art school for ten years or more after winning some major tournaments. I have never seeked safety in numbers and neither did any of the Mod guys and girls I used to knock about with. I think for myself too! I have won almost every street fight I ever had with townies, rockers, punks, anybody really and on my own without any help

  • @TheZhongzheng I would love to see you do your Martial Arts wearing a stupid boating blazer ha ha. RRRRRRRIIIIIIPPPPP. As I knew Ilford pretty well in 1979-82 the Mods were saftety in numbers wankers & were narrow minded racist tools as well. Evidence. Look at the video outside Ilford Palias . Mods No Blacks except on the Stereo policy disgusted me

  • @kingofpunk1977 Oh well there is of course real Mods and wanna be. All styles have a bad element. Yes a boater would be restrictive! Just look at the Small faces to see real Mods or indeed Paul Weller, they are certainly not into trouble or racist. I think there was a few safety in numbers types in the revival, but they all gone as soon as the next wave of fashion came along.

  • @kingofpunk1977 grow up you urchin, you should be ashamed of yourself at your age, who gives a f*** about the pettiness of rival movements, at the end of the day we were all Britains youth with an identity, which is more than what can be said for todays young generation.

  • @bigchimpin91 A very funny statement and littered with loads of contradictions . If you consider yourself having an "identity" than every one else is different to oneself! & it's YOU that should be ashamed for dismissing today's young generation in one swoop. How do you know that young people are not creating their own youth culture? Yes I am 43 but maybe you at 38 is past it as well daddy o. Oh BTW I have nothing against the original 60s Mod movement , it was the little spastics in the 80s

  • @kingofpunk1977 MUG who you calling racist what do you know about 'our' scene and if you was a punk i would've known you through the New globe lot. Love to see you soon

  • @kingofpunk1977 In fact me and my 'Gate' brothers would love to pop round and explain how it was in our scene. Just give us your address. xBob

  • @kingofpunk1977 why is it racist if there are no blacks there?.

just cannot understand that statement at all, perhaps the blacks were too busy looting or rioting,or whatever it is they do?.

  • @brigader4heart What a twat comment you made.

  • @brigader4heart Maybe 'the blacks' had better things to do like find new cultural innovations for 'the whites' to appropriate rather than hark back to the distant past like sad losers.

  • @brigader4heart ....actually old boy...i was on top of your wife giving her what you always failed to ........there now your question as been answered.

  • I think you should probably grow up as I am sure cowards were just as likely to be part of the punk scene as Mod. I have always respected Punk and love most of the 77 bands and have seen them live and still do. I also still go to see Mod bands, I saw the Chords in Nottingham a couple of weeks ago. Was a mixture of Mods Punks and skins.

  • Never got the point of riding around on a grannies moped with little wheels that wobble, get a decent bike and blow em inta da weeds....

  • kingofpunk1977.

    You are a Knob!

    Havn't got a clue!

  • anyone remember Le beat route or the white lion and those fantastic snogs with moddy girls. Hi to Lisa in epsom. Screw punks aswell

  • Mods had to roam in large groups cos they were cowards. You take a mod on one on one they would shit it. And that is a fact! Ooooooohhhh Smash it Up . Smash it Up , Smash it Up

  • Shut it you mug.

  • Seen your profile mate & you were not born then so please do not talk about something you dont know. Safety in numbers parent approved movement.

  • Just cos i werent born dont man i cant say something.

  • You are right . You cant say something

  • Ok whatever mate. Long live mods is all i can say.

    Sad OLD man.

  • I am only as old as these glorfied chavs you are watching. Mod is supposed to mean modern but its anything but the sort

  • Yer ut these had more style than you probably ever had. But mod is still livng strong my friend.

  • Where??? I dont see any in Carnaby St/Or Ilford, Camden, Notting Hill. It was a fad. You get the occasional fat guy squeeze into a pair of sta press or some American tourist with a parka but most of these guys from 1982 now look like Phil Mitchell Haha. Post me a video of Mod Action in 2009 & prove me wrong

  • well, then search for "¿Quien?Que?Cómo? Hey du ..." here on youtube

  • u r right I do actually

  • mate come to newcastle and ill take you to a pub on thursday nights where the mods meet up for ride outs

    it aint dead pal

  • Ok Basshunter fan . Mods are not dead

  • at least mods progressed and moved on are you still sitting in your shithouse squat announcing your love for anarchy and hatred towards the law?

  • I'll had it to you that was very funny. I'm not really a lover of Anarchy cos I pay council tax & I put my rubbish out this morning & as for living in a shithouse squat erm no thanks. Hatred towards the law......if only you knew what I did for a living! I never dressed up very Punk in my teens spare the odd band T shirt

& besides at 42 that would be an absurd thing to do. I like Rocking music from 1954 to 1982 & as far as Punk is concerned it was the music for me.

  • @Ives1989 glad to hear it mate. I come up to newcastle a lot. I was a mod between 81 and 83 in London so its nice to know that mods still exist. I am 46 is that too old?

  • @Ives1989 same in glasgow 2. kingofpunk is more the king of bull shite. mod is very much alive and well!

  • Chav Chav.. You prick.

What did you ever do except stick a pin through your nose.. Mug

  • Ok thats quite funny but I bet at 46 years old you look a right fat cunt on that scooter of yours. Mod is dead .Official. In fact last year a friend of mine went to the Bridgehouse to witness the "Mods Mayday 30th anniversary" & hardly anyone turned up!!!!!! Accept the fact the shitty late 1970s early 80s Mod revival was made up of narrow minded safety in number chavs & your Mod bands like Lambrettas/chords etc SUCK!!!!

  • @kingofpunk1977 Mod isn't dead!! And how can you say that Mods are chavs?? We are the total opposite!!!!! Mods spit on chavs!

  • @kingofpunk1977 Mod is not dead it simply keeps on evolving.

  • @mitchismod The original mods are in their 60s now. So you're an ageist "mod" ?

  • @kingofpunk1967 speaking from the period i always remember the punks /skins /rockers getting together because they were frightened, sounds familiar? i remember an occasion outside Feltham Football Club in 82 /83 when a gang of skins beat on a single mod with assorted weapons however when another single mod, me, went to his aid they all ran away... i have many memories of that time and your unfortunate lies simply are not born out by the facts. you probably sniffed too much glue mate

  • @mechharrier . Judging by your "memories" you sure you have not popped too many Dexys mate? I have to say since putting my anti mod revival comments over a year ago I am quite taken aback by the response. Keep it coming!!

  • Great video and memories - please show us more or let us know if it's available to buy. PS Chimpy no it aint.

  • Is that Chimpy at 0:34 waving?

  • haa my dads the one in the union jack t-shirt XD

  • looks cool
