  • Vietnomnom... what a hellhole.

  • That guy who shoots sounds like Ellis from left 4 dead 2

  • When was the Vietnomnom war?

  • That must feel so bizarre having the safety flip upward to shoot instead of vice versa.

  • Comment removed

  • M 60 is,copy of german mg 42

  • @maxgrbesa u mean FG42

  • @maxgrbesa только неудачная копия. м60 - полный отстой. как и м16. таскать с собой кучу запасных стволов. маленькая песчинка - и привет.

  • does that guy sound like Ellis from L4D2?

  • " It fires from an open Boat "

  • based on both mg42 and the little known fg42, an assault rifle issued to german paratroops way back when... it fired the full sized 792 german service round.

  • based off mg42

  • @mkf272 m60 m249 Rpd mg36

  • Woulda been laying em M-60 bullets down range Geeking hard off em fatty blunts at my sorry enemies Concluding their last days if i was in Nam.... Luckly 4 me and them I wasnt

  • 15 lb. Bipod, dayum.

  • @PierXanthony: 15 lb. TRIPOD (Not shown).

  • where can i buy 1 of these??

  • why is it LIGHT? how is it light!!?!? that thing will put a hole in your chest like 4 feet big!!!

  • @TheAirsoft52 I think the term light means it can be carried by one man, not sure though.

  • @mazew5 true

  • I carried this weapon for 3.5 years in the army. It weighs more than 23 lbs. fully loaded. And he was wrong about the rounds per minute. It's 600, not 750. In comparison, the m249 SAW fires 800 rpm, and uses the 5.56

  • This guy is Chuck Norris´little brother :D

  • U.S. forces have used M60 during the Vietnam War

  • 1:18 FUCK YEAH

  • That is the BIG debate, what is better 7.62 or 5.56, the 5.56 does nice damage because of the tumble, but 7.62 has that knock down effect. They are both better then the other in different ways. The soldiers tend to complain about the 5.56 because you can shoot someone and they might still keep coming for a min, compared to the 7.62 slamming them off thier feet.

  • honestly a 5.56 round would of been better in a jungle war. Mainly because you can lay down more fire and have more amo on you to keep the gooks in their bush.

  • 750 rpm ? last i knew it was 550 rpm

  • The m60 Aka chuck norris' bb gun

  • pretty sure an M60 is a heavy machine gun right? it is a .308 afterall......

  • @MrSean1997 its a medium machine gun. or general purpose machine gun. the SAW is a light machine gun because of the intermediate round it fires. the M2 is a heavy machine gun cuz of the .50 cal it fires.

  • @godsmacked1000 Yea that's what i ment thanks

  • @MrSean1997 i fuckin love gun talk! =D

    and gun porn

  • in the vietna na whore?

  • WTF i 15lb tripod f that

  • @Wolfblade369 : Ah-h-h, hell---I apologize! You just watch---once YOU finally get OLD, you'll be just as bitchy, pissy, an' moaney as I am, if not worse? LOL!

Hope we're both OK with that....!

  • Viet-nom-nom

  • IT LOOKS LIKE CHUCK NORRIS

  • i'd like to ask about M60 ... that tin(can)streight under feeding ammo belt (on left side) which we can see on some nam pics ... was it custom added "battle field upgrade" or were all MGs equpped with them? thanks

  • @petrwarry72 :Actually, both. The newer "improved"-model did indeed have such---and, there was even a kit to "convert" the older-ones over, if I remember correctly?(goes without saying, anymore!) But I do remember that ironically, for me, the "beenie-weenie-conversion" worked better. It seemed to NEED that extra-"flop"?

This is one time that what sounds like a joke is actually true---it really is/was just that: A damned-bean can...!

  • @bruno640 LOL thanks

  • ahhh rednacks

  • can shoot me some gators....

  • Reminds me of Haggard he does.

  • 0:12 Drive By

  • Is this weapon still in service?

  • @mjm814 yes

  • @evilmuffen117 thank you

  • @mjm814 The M60E3 is in limited service, but is for the most part replaced by the M240/FN MAG.

  • @Wolfblade369 : Regardless of who/what he sounds like, he tells you more in that last-minute than your "vid-game heroes" could ever THINK of retaining, this many years' later.

    Hell, even I got a "refresher-course", and I slung the "pig" for a good-bit in my-day...

    USMC, 2/3---May '69-March'71

  • MG-42 ripoff.

  • @freiherrudet who cares..

  • The Vietnomnom war

  • @Alphacaliber

I swear i heard the Vietnam whore :D

  • They got the rapid barrel change from the german mg42 you cod pices of shit i play cob but i know more than the guys at my cabelas i identified every gun in the store just by sight!!!

  • Wasn't there 2 versions of m60? the other being the heavy one mounted on choppers?

  • For som e reason The M60 looks like a hybrid of the German MG series (the Receiver) and the barrel looks like the one used in BAR

  • @WodzuUK It is and was based on the german FG 42.

  • @WodzuUK cause America stole tons of information and blueprints from Germany during war. Such as reinforced aluminum or w/e it's called.

  • 200 rounds, barrel change, hmm that isn't good.

  • Damn, that freakin' loud to wake up everyone in the hood...

  • cool video buddy 5*

  • This guy has a bad stutter....lol. unless there was a war called the `Vietnomnom` war

  • why the hell do they call them light machine guns if theyr not light!

  • @narutofanstudios1234 It's the round, the M60 is actually considered a medium machine gun.

  • @AFSOCbum

Actually it's a General Purpose Machine Gun. The older Browning 1919A4 air-cooled was a medium.

  • @narutofanstudios1234

    Heavy machine gunsare 100lbs+

Compared to that, the M60 is a feather.

  • 35 lol

  • 35 lol

  • dear santa....

  • looks like chuck norris

  • One of my favourite weapons from the vietnam era :)

  • I carried the M60 as the FNG as a Combat Engineer. It was a reliable weapon and easy to field strip and clean.

Since it was heavier ammo than the M16, it was a good friend to have along. it packed a punch.

The last time I carried it I was sitting in the back of a deuce and half in a snow storm freezing in Germany.

    Bobby

    8TH Infantry Division Germany 1974

  • @palonejr loll nice name for it XD

  • @palonejr My father was part of the black horse regiment back in the 70's. stationed in germany

  • @palonejr I heard the m60 had a problem where it sometimes still fired even after you let go of the trigger, is that true?

  • @Vlaxerman343 I never had that problem with the weapon I carried and I put a lot of rounds down range with it in various weather and dirty conditions.

  • @Vlaxerman343 Actually if there was a round in the chamber because of a jam it could cook off and fire several minutes later. I saw one fire off by itself 15 minutes after being used on a live fire exercise. The barrel was facing into the ground when it went off. No one was hurt, just startled.

  • get off my lawn

  • @tapoutcampion111 That was an M1, but a great comment!

  • Chuck Norris mu idol...

  • Rock and roll!

  • He said 750 rpm?! In Wikipedia it says 550 rpm? Which info is right?

  • @Berserkr01 550 is the right RPM for this gun. these old gun videos often has alot of false imformation, i ones saw a video stating the stg44 had a RPM of 800...

  • the us m60 replaced the 30 cal browning and first saw service in the vietnam war

  • I think there is a problem to the video tape which says nomnom and threethree lol

  • Funny accent.......where it comes from?

  • all of you guys are a bunch of beautiful HICKS!

  • nothin' light bout this big boy

  • "it first saw service in the Vietnomnom war" :D lol

  • HELLZ YES!

  • I seen several videos like this that are all in the same style and down by the same people.

What is the name of this video series?

  • m60 = mg3

  • @ABCMATTISSOMMER What?

  • @Serbwarfighter the internal buildings are covered from the german mg3 .

  • he looks like he's from viet-NAM

  • rambo 1 gun

  • Vietnomnom war... can't say i've heard of it...

  • It came with liquid cooling as well I believe. So I've been told.

  • 1:20 Rambo :)

  • This and alot of your older clips look like they're from the same video. Do you know the title? Could you tell me where you found it?

  • I remember the PIG well.

  • @LM151 Me too light machine gun my ass carry that son of a bitch for a day or two and you'll change your mind.

  • m60 = beast AKA the pig

i dont know y they replaced this mostly im mean its a beast of a gun

im sure they could modifiy it so it can be alot more reliable and weight less

    still very nice gun

  • THE PIG

  • can u aim while standing up, or does it have to be from the waist?

  • in the viet nomnom war

  • in our country a commonly see a m16 and a m60

  • @iiiasaiii i beat you pal, in my country you will surely see a GALIL every day, a m16 a day by half, a m60 every 3 weeks, a negev lmg 4 times per month, and a TAR 21 once in a year.

  • GETSOME

  • NOMNONM WARE!

  • lot vietnam vet much lol

  • these things are fuckin bad ass my uncle in mexico has one i love them

  • o yea!

  • outstanding

  • lol in the begining he says nomnom

  • @tytyruler345 lol it does

  • @tytyruler345 what do u expect. he was eating while talking

  • @tytyruler345 Where?

  • how the fuck aint this a LMG

  • @XworldXofXwarcraftX its actually a medium~heavy machine gun. Most LMGs would weigh about 5-10 pounds less than this.

  • @Chucoishighoncoke Nope, if it was a heavy machine gun it would weigh around 90 to 100lbs.

  • @Chucoishighoncoke Your an idiot, a LMG is a man held machine gun used to support squad memebers, the weight has NOTHING to do with the titlesLMG, MMG, and HMG

  • Did anyone else hear banjo's playing in the background?

  • THE HOG!

  • It sickens me to see kids running around with this thing in Bad Company 2. It is one heavy ass weapon.

  • @Crazyflake1 soldiers ran around with the m60 in vietnam...so it is something that can and has been done

  • @reliablethreat23 : Does he REALLY-think all y' had to do was set-up in ONE-position, and "point-n'-pull" all day long???LMAO!

I remember an unwritten "rule" that went somethin' like: "If your shooting-posture is comfy, and you've got the perfect target---then you are NOT using your cover to full-effectiveness, you will be DEAD in a second from now. Hit, run, cover---repeat as needed!"

You didn't just run with the pig---you "RAN, ducked, and covered, muthafucker!"

    "Repeating As Necessary"..

  • @Crazyflake1 well what do you think Animal Mother did????

  • @Crazyflake1 YEAH GREAT !

  • @Crazyflake1 It sickens me that kids are allowed to use firearms in the US...

  • @Crazyflake1

Or sprinting eternally with it in Black Ops... As well as dolphin-diving and jumping...

  • he said" the weapon ways 3 pounds with the additional weight of 15 pounds for the tripod"

  • yeah nice "light machine gun"

  • I still wonder how something this powerful is called a LIGHT mg

  • @lorenzol1996 compared to a 50 cal. and mini gun, its light.

  • viet-natnat war!

  • are light machine guns actually lighter than normal machine guns?

  • @ElIis0 Machine gun is just a collective term. During the Vietnam war the M60 was an LMG, but in today's standards it's a Medium Machine gun/General Purpose Machine Gun.

  • @ElIis0 Define 'normal'

  • @mantax55

    like is a M60 normal than a MG42

  • @ElIis0 Ah, I see what you mean. Like a Browning(.30 Cal) to a SAW.

  • I wana go Deer hunting with one!!"!!

  • beautiful weapon

  • its newer but it still cant mess with an mg42

  • @Askarion It was based off of the MG42. Seeing as how the MG42 would end up just overheating it's barrel and take seven seconds to reload, that's plenty of time for an M60 gunner to pop out of cover, set up his tripod and just blast him away.

  • What documentary is this from?

  • God, I hated carrying that fucker on 25 mile road marches. But when you started that fucker rockin, they knew to gain some cover!

  • I know video game mentioning is a no-no here, but the demonstrator reminds me of Ellis from L4D2

  • I think its brilliant that its a redneck explaining it, of course he's just been firing his machine gun....what else would he be doing? xD

  • @Danny7293 hes a bit country, not redneck....

  • @Danny7293 not bad for a redneck huh? most of the guys in special forces and fighting on the streets protecting our freedoms are redneck good ole boys

  • @Danny7293 I thought rednecks only owned muskets

  • @Danny7293 Just my thought XD

  • cool i like m60!

  • Yeah bone breaker from BF BAD COMPANY 2 D

  • A fifteen pound Tripod WTF!!!!!!!!!

  • @Hound419 It's firing a 7.62 round, if you want effective suppressing fire you need a heavy tripod. Anything much lighter would just slide on the ground from the recoil.

  • vietna-na war

  • 15 pounds seems heavy for the bipod, that's like 2/3 the weight of the gun. I think I would of found something lighter for it built out of aluminum, unless you actually need all that weight up front to hold things down

  • I live right by the rock island arsenal

  • kids have an imagtaition and when they play a shooting game guns are related to shoting games and the most populer game shotting now is...............Mw2 so of course it will come into there head and that is why the games are 18 or 16 so that one kid wont get the wrong idea about war is that u cant respawn BOOOM!!!!!

  • Are you the voice actor for Ellis in L4D2? You sound totally like him!

  • man id like to see a mw2 kid in real combat,

they wouldnt have a clue what to do

OMG THIS IS SOMTHIN ELSE THAN A CONTROLLER

maan id like to see that xD

  • lol redneck

  • Bewllt-fed, gaws-operawted, fires from an open bowllt.

  • Bwelt feeeed! one hell of a redneck accent

  • c de l air soft

  • the feed system is bassically a mg42 the barrel and rate of fire is completly different due to nato and american army standards of the time

  • i hate people that think they know everything about guns just from playing mw2
