I do not think they are the scum of the earth. I think they are exclusionary and self interested. Our media, politics and financial sector is distorted by a lack of diversity because power is so concentrated in a narrow band of the populace (I would say the same if it were mormons with such a disproportionate representation in, for example, the media).
