@rocknsixties- FANTASTIC.Not known as an instrumental band,as such,this easily sits comfortably with the VERY BEST UK beat/RnB unspoken grooves of the era,namely,the PERFECT releases from The Small Faces&Spencer Davis Group.
@yahood66 Thanks for your comment. I agree with you, the Rolling Stones have not earned their reputation as an instrumental band. However they have made some instrumental pieces of high quality like "Goin 'Home" (on the album "After Math"). I posted a video of this instrumental that I invite you to visit at YouTube adress : watch?v=hjGIAOZUw08
@theZblues the best version of this that have heard was on the German LP Around and Around it went on a lot longer,i have a copy a copy of the LP but it fads out at the best bit,if any one has the German LP,put it on here it will blow your mind
This is my fave Stones tune! I've loved the album version for forty years, but this is even better! Brian's trembling lead guitar reminds me of Albert Collins and Danny Kirwan who came after this. Perfect video for this Chicago blues shuffle! Thanks!
wow post and thanks for the ride.
best wishes.

Amazing. The Beatles could NOT have cut an instrumental piece like this!! ONLY The Small Faces and Spencer Davis Group did better

@merseymain
Then i must hear more of those some day, because this piece is an absolutely beautiful interaction of strings.
