Pivot vs. Flash war? My thoughts...

Flash is an advanced program, for, perhaps, intermediate animators in pivot, or even beginners. Pivot is deprived of many of Flash's greatest qualities, including freedom. Pivot provides a severe amount of limitations to the animator. I used to use pivot, I used to be one of the ones to insult Flash, but I had never used it before. I then tried it, still thinking it was terrible, that pivot was better, and will now never go back to pivot.

It's okay if you want to learn how to animate the basics, start off using pivot when you get your way around how to use the tools, try advancing to flash.

most people use wacom bamboo tablets, but they're very expensive.

you can find some good cheep ones on amazon (bout 30 bucks) that will work with flash.

@TheMarcBridgeman i think there are three ways, the first is to right click on the littl piano key looking thing with the little circle in it on the timeline (next to where it says layer 1 above where your drawing and scroll to add keyframe (if you wanna new frame with the same pic as your previous frame) or add frame (if you wanna blank frame). the second is to just press f5 or f6, and the third is to go to 'insert' at the top of the screen, scroll to 'timeline' and then add frame :)

1. go to the Adobe website and download the DOWNLOAD ASSISTANT

2. on the download assistant download flash

3.Install it

4.Ok , at the start trial menu click on "start trial"

5. Then click "Skip this step" (Make sure your offline!).

6. at the skip this step part of the screen click "continue to use as trial"

7.do that every time and enjoy!

WARNING : you need an adobe ID for this to work!!!!!
